Lisa Lewandowsk Jones

Ms. Jones was my defense atty in a first-offense DWI case. No accident or injury, I was stopped pulling into my apartment complex. I made FIVE appearances (I showed up at court to have her tell me I needed to come back another day on three occasions) and had to pay Ms. Jones for each time, she "cha...rged per appearance", even though my case was not even heard until my FIFTH appearance. Ms. Jones NEVER challenged the fact that no case was prepared against me for MONTHS. She just kept rescheduling and charging me for every new court date. She even told me that the sheriff's department had absolutely refused to turn over a dash-cam recording and had to be subpoenaed. That in itself would be cause for an investigation, wouldn't it? I now wonder if it was only more stalling. After three months of showing up to court and finding that someone had 'pulled the wrong file' or 'couldn't make it that day', not once did Jones motion for my case to be dismissed, which, I've learned from other lawyers, would have been a no-brainer for the judge. But, I was charged PER APPEARANCE for Ms. Jones. Later, she told me she was pals with the ADA and that she had worked with prosecutors before, and that's why I got "the usual" for a first offense DWI, because she had 'connections'. I am still considering taking legal action against Ms. Jones.

Paid Ms. Jones $800.00 for a minor offense. She would either not return phone calls or would be slow to return them . I felt the whole time that she was not interested because it was a small case. I found her to be forgetful and some what scatterbrained. Sometimes she had to go check about a que...stion we had.
