Ed was very unresponsive and unhelpful. The saying “you get what you pay” for really applies. The petitioner and I jointly paid this person, he represented both parties as far as I view it and again this was uncontested, very easy and simple. He would not respond, was late, missed documents, would no...t do his job as stated by the district clerk and requested over the double the amount to file the paperwork he was required to. He would not provide information needed, was rude at several times and did not know what certain forms were. I will look to give reviews further where I can and reach out to whatever council needed to let them know the misrepresentations that the petitioner and I had.

I hired Mr. Davis in 2018 to handle my uncontested divorce. I had several issues including my receiving the wrong decree and being asked to bring $200 to the court proceeding. I requested a name change for my son and this was spelled wrong in the decree. I have reached out to the firm several times f...or an amendment but didn’t receive any response. I also need a certified copy of the decree which I never received. Now I have to spend $2,500 to hire another attorney to correct these issues. Definitely do not recommend.

Similar to previous reviewers, I had a horrible experience with Ed Davis. He was courteous and answered all my questions when I first spoke with him on the phone. Then I filled out the necessary divorce paperwork and paid him. I never contacted him until 61 days was up. He was belligerent and extreme...ly rude to me. I calmly explained that I wasn't completely aware of what to do after 61 days, and that all I wanted was to schedule a court date when he was free. His response to me was that he only goes to court on Fridays and that he can't adhere to my schedule, he would do it whenever he felt like it. He also very rudely said to me, "what do you want me to tell you? Do you want me to hold your hand and tell you that you're an amazing woman, that you deserve much better?" I've been polite and professional the one and only time I spoke with him prior. Nothing I've done or said could have led him to be so rude to me. The fact that he was belching throughout his 10 minute tirade led me to believe that he was drunk at 10am.

I requested Ed Davis services back in May-June 2014 and paid the balance in full in August. Now that the 61 day period is over I am not able to get in contact with Mr. Davis via email or phone. I should've known better, because when I spoke to him on the phone during that time he was VERY rude and ev...en with me being as calm as possible and apologizing from possible pissing him off he still was popping off at the mouth and being rude. I'm hoping that he will respond to me sometime before the end of the year so that I can finalize my divorce, if not...well I'm guess I'm out $640 and on the search for a new lawyer. Bottom line....don't use him unless you love giving away your hard earned money.

I FIRST UTILIZED ATTORNEY DAVIS SERVICE IN 2009, AT THAT TIME HE SEEM TO BE A GOOD ATTORNEY, I EVEN REFERRED HIM TO A COUPLE OF PEOPLE. FOR SOME REASON NOW HE IS NOT A MAN OF CHARACTER, I CONTACTED HIM IN MARCH2014 ON BEHALF OF A FRIEND TO FILE THE DIVORCE, WE PAID ALL THE MONEY UPFRONT, WAS TOLD IN... 60 DAYS HE WOULD CONTACT HIM ABOUT COURT, NEVER HEARD ANYTHING. WE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS VIA PHONE AND EMAIL, NEVER GOT A RESPONSE, ITS NOW AUGUST AND HE STILL HASNT ATTEMPTED TO REACH OUT TO THE CLIENT. FINALLY SPOKE WITH HIM AND HE USED PROFANITY ON THE PHONE WITH ME AND DENIED EVER RECEIVING ANY CALLS AND TOLD ME HE DOESN'T CHECK HIS EMAILS. I AM TRULY DISAPPOINTED AS I PREVIOUSLY SAID I USED HIM AND REFERRED SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE TO HIM.
