David Bruce Mcclure

     David McClure is a native Texan, born and raised.  Mr. McClure graduated from the University of Texas  in 1995 and immediately enrolled in law school.  He graduated from the University of Houston Law School and was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1998.  His office is located in Katy, Texas and he provides services in all Texas counties. of Texas

     In order to get the training necessary to properly defend those accused of a crime, Mr. McClure spent many years as a prosecutor for the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office.  While there, he tried cases ranging from DWI’s to aggravated sexual assault of a child and murder.  As a misdemeanor prosecutor, he tried a large amount of DWI cases.  As a felony prosecutor, in addition to his normal case load, he was responsible for every drug case assigned to his court.  He has worked closely with a large number of police and state agencies and understands how the system works.

     Once Mr. McClure obtained the experience necessary to be an effective criminal defense attorney, he decided to make his dream a reality.  He has been aggressively and successfully defending clients for many years now and has a keen interest in maintaining a citizen’s rights; in curbing the growing abuse of authority within the criminal justice system.  Mr. McClure’s experience and training has earned him numerous invitations to speaking functions regarding the practice of law and the realities of the criminal justice system.  He will tell you what the State won’t and he WILL defend YOU, not just your case.

     There is more to defending a client than knowing the law and maintaining the proper work ethic.  While Mr. McClure certainly stays up to date on the legal aspects and works very hard for you, he has that additional quality that ensures you will get the best representation possible – he communicates.  He believes very strongly in being responsive to his clients, witnesses, prosecutors, and everybody involved in a case.  He believes in flexibility – sometimes it serves a client better not to be argumentative with a prosecutor or to upset a judge.  However, sometimes the situation demands that you take your gloves off and fight.  No case is the same and Mr. McClure will do what is right for you in your case, whatever that takes.  Further, he will ensure that you are informed every step of the way and are comfortable with whatever resolution is decided upon.  He understands that THIS IS YOUR LIFE we are dealing with, and he takes that very seriously.
