Amber Stryk Skillern

Amber Stryk Skillern is a skilled and compassionate trial attorney. Amber’s experience in the field of civil litigation includes motor vehicle collisions; motorcycle, bicycle, and pedestrian accidents; premises liability including, slip and falls; assault and battery cases; product liability matters; heavy machinery and equipment accident; plant accidents; and oil field accidents. She has extensive experience in representing clients in state and federal courts in high-stakes cases including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and other serious injury cases.

Prior to be a founding member of Houston Injury Lawyers, Amber served as national product liability counsel for a major manufacturer of automotive component parts, and regional counsel for a major tire manufacturer, handling complex product liability and personal injury matters. She is well versed in personal injury and property damages claims related to product defects.

Amber’s extensive civil litigation background also includes experience working as an insurance defense attorney, where she represented liability carriers, employers, and insurers throughout Texas and nationally in personal injury, wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims. Amber is intimately familiar with the way insurance companies work. Amber’s prior experience in insurance defense gives her a unique perspective and deeper understanding of knowing how insurance adjusters, carriers, companies, and defense attorneys analyze and evaluate matters. This allows her to build and present her clients' cases in a way that best accomplishes the most favorable resolution.
