Truthfully, I am astounded, Alex is by far the absolute BEST attorney you could ever ask for. I'm not just saying this because of how my case turned out but because she truthfully is the best of the best. She is extremely fast at replies to guide you through situations even on holidays and after hour...s as well as if she hasn't heard from you in a while. That alone says enough BUT is not all by far. She is also very quick and extremely diligent in making sure that everything needed to come to a resolution, whether court or settling is done for the absolutely best possible outcome for you. She is also extremely honest and will tell you where she feels going route a or route b will get you and knows when to act. That being said, my own personal case was different and absolutely difficult from day one to proceed and handle. There were many times of feeling defeated and that I might never get my child out of an extremely harmful situation. Despite this she kept my head up and continued to push me every single day to move forward. It was clear she wasn't by any means in it for the money, but she was all in for helping my child and doing what was best for him to ensure his success in life regardless of the walls that were placed in front of us. When I say my case was a long shot and it took me putting my entire faith into my attorney, I mean it, she fought to the very end and I ended up with custody. She doesn't mess around or take your money, she truly is out there to handle WHATEVER the situation may be and beyond. To this day I still have problems and she is more than happy to respond and reach out to help me through as well as make sure that my child is doing well and being successful. When Alex joined my custody case within the Skillern law firm, she was thrown into an extremely high conflict case with all sorts of the worst issues and allegations that can be thrown around when the going gets tough i.e. alleged rape of a child, CPS allegations at your door, abuse allegations durin...g a home study, etc. Not once did Alex suggest we bow to the intimidation tactics of the other party. She was knowledgeable and assertive and encouraged me to stay the course. In the end, I went from standard non-primary to primary custodial parent. I was told by EVERYONE this would be impossible and to basically just be happy with extended standard possession. I refused to listen and Alex was willing to fight for me and my child. She looks and sounds young and to another lawyer, she may not seem like a threat initially but she should not be underestimated as she has bull dog tenacity and when the other party or party's lawyer tries their hand at a power play they are not entitled to, Alex will absolutely be the first one to shut them down. She was not arrogant and was always willing to listen. Additionally, Alex made sure that the signed custody agreement stated I would get any child support overages I had paid sent back to me. When the other party tried not to pay, Alex stayed on top of calling the OAG Child Support office and sending them whatever paperwork or information they needed and I was able to get over $4,000 paid back to me. Even one of the employees in the Child Support office said she never saw that actually happen before. It's unfortunate, but that's how the system works unless you have someone with chess-like skills who is willing to put in the time and effort.
