Emma grew up in Houston, Texas. She later moved to San Marcos, Texas and received a Bachelor of Arts in English at Texas State University. In college, she discovered her passion for justice and advocacy. After graduating from college, Emma knew she wanted to return to her roots and practice law in Houston.
Emma received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. At UH, she gained valuable courtroom experience while interning for the Honorable Nancy K. Johnson of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. As an intern, she received exposure to high-profile trials and assisted the judge in drafting substantive legal opinions. In order to gain experience in different areas of litigation during law school, Emma also interned for the Texas Civil Rights Project and the University of Houston’s Office of the General Counsel. Throughout her law school career, she worked at three Houston-based litigation firms, including Doyle Dennis LLP. To strengthen her advocacy skills, she competed in moot court competitions across the country.
Emma joined Doyle Dennis LLP as a Law Clerk during her first summer of law school. While working for the firm, she discovered her passion for helping others. In fact, she returned to work at Doyle Dennis every subsequent year. Since joining Doyle Dennis as an Associate Attorney, Emma has represented a variety of clients. Emma zealously advocates for employees, including health care workers, who were wrongfully fired or otherwise retaliated against by their employers. Her practice also includes representing individuals in insurance bad faith cases, civil rights litigation, and general personal injury lawsuits.
In her free time, Emma enjoys hiking, volunteering at The Montrose Center, and serving on the Boards of Directors for the Texas Freedom Network and the Prism Foundation.

Breath of fresh air
From the moment I spoke to her over the phone I knew she was going to have my back. She truly cares about the client. If I ever need an attorney in the future she will be who I call. She is the best out there today.
