Biography
For over twenty years it has been my true honor and privilege to worke with cutting edge growing companies across the United States, in business and intellectual property law matters. In the past five years, my Firm and I have saved and recovered in excess of $2.3 billion for our clients in federal and state courthouses across the country.
I am dual Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Consumer and Commercial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and am AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell - the highest rating an attorney may receive. I am licensed in both Texas and California, and have expanded my practice throughout the southwest U.S.
I have authored law review articles and parts of legal textbooks on topics ranging from intellectual property licensing, international letters of credit and the role of insurance defense counsel in complex litigation matters, and Implied Licenses in Copyrights.
My cases typically involve representing businesses in complex business transactions, partnership (and shareholder) disputes, executive employment litigation, Non-Compete and Non-Disclosure Agreements, and intellectual property law matters (copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets).
I have served as lead trial counsel in complex litigation matters involving Shell Oil Company, Ralph Parsons Engineering, Union Oil of California, Sentinel Integrity Solutions, Global Check Services, Mossberg Shotguns, and the Stanford Financial Group, in lawsuit filed in federal and state courts in Texas, California, Colorado and Florida.
