I hired Anisa at the end of February 2025. At first (consultation phase) I thought she would be great to represent me in my divorce case. SO, I took money from my savings and hired her. I was told it could take 6-8 months. Not a problem. Then came the problems. Barely any communication, I email, cal...l, don't hear back for a couple weeks. Getting toward the end of the year October 2025 finally got the draft of dissolution of marriage. My situation is not complex, but it seems to take forever. She tells me she is opening up her own practice. The first of the year rolls around (new practice) I'm calling, leaving messages no action. Assistant says " oh we have just been so busy with the holidays, Anisa will get back to you soon" January 28th I get an email from Anisa's paralegal asking me if I could send her a copy of the drafted dissolution (from Anisa) somehow, they don't have it. I send it same day. Fast forward, February 18, 2026, still married, still no communication, no updates, no "we're still here", no nothing. Would not, and Do not recommend. *Unfortunately, by November I knew I would give this review, but I wanted to wait until once my case was closed. Seeing as I don't know when that will be, and still no communication I decided to proceed today.

I hired Anisa Thobhani to represent me in a custody modification case. What I received was repeated procedural negligence, poor communication, and ultimately abandonment in the middle of an ongoing court matter. She failed to submit key documents on time—most critically, the witness list that rend...ered my subpoena useless. When she attempted to withdraw as counsel, her filing was rejected by the court due to a signature error that mirrored her earlier mistakes. More disturbingly, she gave written advice recommending I withhold possession of my son based on a court-ordered injunction, then backtracked when consequences became real. I paid thousands in flat fees but was left unprotected, unheard, and legally exposed. I would not recommend her for any family law matter.
