Believe the 5 star reviews!

If your reading this review it’s because either you or someone you know is needing a good DWI lawyer so… Look no further! These 5 star reviews are the real deal so your search ends now. They are all true about Chris and his law firm. When you pick up your first DWI you tell yourself that you... will never end up in this situation again. That’s what I thought but here I was picking up my 3rd, with a BAC 3 times the legal limit while out of town in Harris County( I live in another city hundreds of miles away) for cancer treatment for my loved one. It freakin happened to me and now I had to deal with a felony. My job and freedom were in serious jeopardy. This was a terrible unbelievable situation. When I started my lawyer search it began here with these very reviews that I am writing and you are reading right now. Chris was one of the top ones on the list and I called several. He answered me ASAP and put my mind at ease right away. His price was reasonable, he offers a payment plan, and I could tell that he not only knew what he was doing but he cared. Turns out I got the worst judge in the freakin county. At my first court appearance this judge was going to make me re-post bail for some unreasonable reason that in all honesty felt like an abuse of power. Chris stepped in and made sure he put a stop to this injustice and I left that courtroom free on bail. Right there I reassured that I made the right choice. Things are getting tough in Harris county and these DAs are wanting to nail DWI folks to the wall. Especially on your 2nd and 3rd charges. My case was tough and I had a lot going against me. A dismissal was a long shot and given the judge I had, I knew I could not really risk a trial game of chicken. In the end Chris got my charge reduced to a 2nd DWI misdemeanor with probation. The sentence and conditions he got me were lighter than my previous 2nd! And my prior sentence was better that what I got for my first DWI so what does that tell you? The man is incredible. I couldn’t believe it. Like I said, they are getting stricter for repeat offenders so I did get hit with the 10 days of jail time, but it was not really bad at all and because of covid I was isolated in my own cell the entire time and went by quickly. Went in a Friday and took my week off and I was out before I knew it. That was the biggest thing I had to deal with which was minimal given what I was facing and what I could have lost (freedom, job , etc). Now this was not an easy journey for me because I lived out of town but luckily with Chris I only had to return to Houston 5 times and that’s only because of the judge I had. If you don’t get this judge ( Chris will tell you if your one of the unlucky ones) and live In Houston, your experience will be even less painful. Either way he did good by me and was always a text or phone call away. If you hire him, give your worries to him, follow his instruction and he will get you the best possible outcome that I am sure you would probably not get with any other attorney allowing you to get on with your life and put this horrible ordeal behind you. He is worth every penny. He also won my ALR so my license did not get suspended. Thanks again Chris. Appreciate everything you did for me and do for your clients.

Great DWI Lawyer

He’s a professional attorney that's very kind, trustworthy & knowledgeable. He answers all of my calls & text messages. He gets the job done and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is facing DWI chargers.

Unprofessional to the core

I hired Mr. Denuna in May-2021 for my trial setting felony case. I didn’t see any progress in the case and hence I set up a meeting with him in July-2021. In the meeting, he said that he couldn’t trust me. I told him that I too feel the same and asked him to terminate the contract because I came to l...earn that he didn’t even look into the evidences properly. Mr. Denuna said that he will refund my full money but later , he gave me only a part of my money back. He is lazy, unprofessional, and comes with little moral values.

Mr. Vishnu Khaspa, After speaking with the State Bar, I am ethically allowed to disclose anything that is of public record and knowledge. First, I have a contract with your signature that you have a copy of and we went over in depth. The contract clearly stated that the money you paid is deemed earned per the contract as well as the amount of time, skill, experience, expenses and resources spent on your case for the two months that I was hired. I even gave you an itemized list of all work done to confirm that. Yet you attempted to blackmail my law firm with threatening to report me to the state bar if I didn’t give you a full refund because you subjectively felt not enough work was done when my firm and myself did more work than what we were paid. We also had multiple in-person meetings and we agreed upon that I would only charge you a small fee and refund the rest for the amount of time, resources, and work my firm put in your case. Ultimately my firm lost money for the amount of time and resources put in after refunding you. Second, after multiple negotiations with the DA assigned to your case, I was able to negotiate your case to be reduced down from a felony to a misdemeanor deferred that would allow your case to ultimately get dismissed, yet you would continuously ignore my advice. Third, as a courtesy I refunded you over 80% of the fees you already paid AS A COURTESY to financially help you in hiring a new attorney, which I did not have to refund anything at all because fees were deemed earned per the contract as well as the amount of work completed. Four, on top of the itemized list provided, we had two meetings going over in detail our trial strategy and going over evidence. My associate was in one of those meetings and will confirm of what you were requesting of my firm to do caused our attorney-client relationship to significantly deteriorate to where I could no longer communicate with you, effectively render assistance of counsel to you, and ultimately made your representation unreasonably difficult by you, thus conflicting me out. Five, your last attorney withdrew from your case as well for the same reasons to where the attorney-client relationship has deteriorated to the point where that attorney can neither effectively communicate nor provide effective assistance of counsel to you, which leads me to believe that there is a common problem here and it’s not your legal representation. You may need to look in the mirror, and my firm does not appreciate your guerilla tactics to try and bully and threaten for a full refund, despite me giving you over 80% back. Now you are searching for your third attorney on this case. You hired me to take your case to trial, and I am ranked top 5 in Harris County for Most Not Guilty verdicts from 2017 to present day this post is made. To say I didn’t do any work or review evidence is a slander tactic you are taking. My reviews and work speak for themselves. I wish you luck with your pending Felony Criminal Mischief case. Have a blessed day. -Chris Denuna

DWI CASE

Mr. Denuna was not my first choice for a lawyer, I had a different lawyer him. My previous lawyer was condescending, and demanded extremely high monthly payments. The payments were higher than my rent. He must’ve forgotten we were in the middle of a pandemic. I was ready to give up on this case, ju...st take the charge, until Mr. Denuna gave me a call, and hearing him on the other side of that phone gave me hope. He is a very understanding man, he does care about his clients, he understands. He understands we are in a pandemic, he has a heart. Being a veteran, I thought all of my opportunities were now limited due to this case, but this week Mr. Denuna gave me the good news I’ve been waiting for for about a year. I never felt taken advantage of, I’ve never felt lied to or as if he were hiding somethjng. He was very open with me during the entire process and would always keep me in the loop. It’s crazy how a lawyer can bring your happiness back to you. I’m very grateful for Mr. Denuna, he’s a great lawyer and a even a greater person.

"I had the opportunity to sit as co-counsel in a DWI trial with Chris and he was amazing. More specifically, he was well prepared, knowledgeable of facts surrounding the case and science involved with DWI’s. After two days of testimony the jurors deliberated for 20 minutes and returned with a NOT GUILTY verdict!"
