I received my Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2010 as a Division I student-athlete on a full athletic soccer scholarship. I then attended Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte, NC, and was awarded my Juris Doctorate in 2014. While attending Charlotte School of Law, I was named to the Dean’s List in 2013 and 2014, participated on the Charlotte School of Law Moot Court and Mock Trial teams, received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Trial Practice, graduated from the selective Charlotte School of Law Advanced Criminal Advocacy Program, and accumulated over 340 hours of pro bono service.
After my first year of law school, I clerked at The Law Office of Charles L. Morgan, Jr. in Charlotte, NC, and received my certification for the Student Practice Rule as well as my Third-Year Practice Certificate.
I was hired as a law clerk at Trichter & Murphy, PC, in the summer of 2013. After serving as a law clerk for two consecutive summers, I was admitted to practice in Texas in 2014. I am a member of the American Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
I practice in Harris County, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Waller, Brazoria, Bell, Washington, Dallas, Bexar, Travis, and pretty much anywhere you need me in the State of Texas.
I pride myself in learning first hand as an associate attorney from some of the foremost legal authorities in Texas DUI/DWI Defense: Gary Trichter, Doug Murphy, and Mark Thiessen, and will aggressively, passionately, and relentlessly fight for my clients.

Unprofessional to the core
I hired Mr. Denuna in May-2021 for my trial setting felony case. I didn’t see any progress in the case and hence I set up a meeting with him in July-2021. In the meeting, he said that he couldn’t trust me. I told him that I too feel the same and asked him to terminate the contract because I came to l...
Mr. Vishnu Khaspa, After speaking with the State Bar, I am ethically allowed to disclose anything that is of public record and knowledge. First, I have a contract with your signature that you have a copy of and we went over in depth. The contract clearly stated that the money you paid is deemed earned per the contract as well as the amount of time, skill, experience, expenses and resources spent on your case for the two months that I was hired. I even gave you an itemized list of all work done to confirm that. Yet you attempted to blackmail my law firm with threatening to report me to the state bar if I didn’t give you a full refund because you subjectively felt not enough work was done when my firm and myself did more work than what we were paid. We also had multiple in-person meetings and we agreed upon that I would only charge you a small fee and refund the rest for the amount of time, resources, and work my firm put in your case. Ultimately my firm lost money for the amount of time and resources put in after refunding you. Second, after multiple negotiations with the DA assigned to your case, I was able to negotiate your case to be reduced down from a felony to a misdemeanor deferred that would allow your case to ultimately get dismissed, yet you would continuously ignore my advice. Third, as a courtesy I refunded you over 80% of the fees you already paid AS A COURTESY to financially help you in hiring a new attorney, which I did not have to refund anything at all because fees were deemed earned per the contract as well as the amount of work completed. Four, on top of the itemized list provided, we had two meetings going over in detail our trial strategy and going over evidence. My associate was in one of those meetings and will confirm of what you were requesting of my firm to do caused our attorney-client relationship to significantly deteriorate to where I could no longer communicate with you, effectively render assistance of counsel to you, and ultimately made your representation unreasonably difficult by you, thus conflicting me out. Five, your last attorney withdrew from your case as well for the same reasons to where the attorney-client relationship has deteriorated to the point where that attorney can neither effectively communicate nor provide effective assistance of counsel to you, which leads me to believe that there is a common problem here and it’s not your legal representation. You may need to look in the mirror, and my firm does not appreciate your guerilla tactics to try and bully and threaten for a full refund, despite me giving you over 80% back. Now you are searching for your third attorney on this case. You hired me to take your case to trial, and I am ranked top 5 in Harris County for Most Not Guilty verdicts from 2017 to present day this post is made. To say I didn’t do any work or review evidence is a slander tactic you are taking. My reviews and work speak for themselves. I wish you luck with your pending Felony Criminal Mischief case. Have a blessed day. -Chris Denuna

Case dismissed
Chris and his team did an excellent job of reviewing my case and getting it dismissed. I was pulled over for DWI and was charged. Upon further review Chris argued that the officer did not have probable cause to pull me over and the judge agreed. I was out of the court room in a couple of hours and ab...

"I had the opportunity to sit as co-counsel in a DWI trial with Chris and he was amazing. More specifically, he was well prepared, knowledgeable of facts surrounding the case and science involved with DWI’s. After two days of testimony the jurors deliberated for 20 minutes and returned with a NOT GUILTY verdict!"
"I've been lucky to know Chris for some time now and he is a fierce advocate. He works hard for his clients and his success in the courtroom is reflective of that effort. I enthusiastically recommend this attorney."
"Chris works hard for his clients. He makes sure that they get every question answered and know exactly what is going on in their case."
"I wouldn't have hired Chris if I didn't think he was an amazing lawyer. He's a competitor outside of the court room and inside as well. it's in his blood. He has studied and learned his profession well. That's why I feel lucky to have hired him. He's a strong worker, fantastic and creative mind and tenacious. He won't give up on your case. And if he ever gets in too deep, I've got his back."
"Chris is about as good as they come. I have enjoyed seeing his trial ability and professionalism first-hand. Anyone would be in a great position with Chris at their side."
"I endorse this lawyer. Chris is an excellent lawyer with a strong ethic. Very knowledgeable in his field and a highly effective litigator."
