Excellent, logical, down to earth, and straight forward

Bo represented me in a contested divorce case between 2020 and 2021. The facts of the divorce were founded on lies and blown out of proportion continually by opposing attorneys and my spouse, which made it a very difficult case. I reached out to Bo after the first couple months of using another l...awyer that I originally hired when I naively believed the agreement my wife and I had to handle the divorce amicably, and it was clear the original lawyer was not prepared to handle the aggressive opposing legal team. The other side was basically out for blood at any cost. Opposing counsel were horribly unprofessional and really drove the angry-wife interaction into every encounter. They allowed and encouraged wasting all our money on legal fees rather than compromising or being reasonable, which was clearly not in the best interest of their client, or me. Bo was always a ray of light throughout this drawn-out case. He provided tactical and strategic advice. He kept me cool in very frustrating situations and regularly helped me avoid stooping to their level of unprofessionalism or making mistakes. He was also reasonable about his fees by giving me breaks here and there, and advising about costs of various options we had, and he brought in experts where needed. Bottom line: Bo and Taylor were always extremely professional. For a divorce with no minor children to be drawn out over 20 months, one would expect that the outcome would have been extremely painful. In the end, we were quite successful in avoiding several of the extreme demands from the opposing side. We ultimately avoided a drawn-out and emotional trial and most importantly completely avoided 10 years of spousal support. All the rest was just money and things, which can be replaced. I have easily recovered from that turmoil, and I feel like I made a friend through the whole thing. Bo kept things from getting ugly by being levelheaded, capable, professional, tactical, strategic, friendly, compassionate, empathetic, and even fun. I will never put myself in a situation to need him again, but if I did, he would be my only choice!

Mission Accomplished

Simply put, I could not have asked for a better attorney. From the first meeting, I knew Bo and his team were the people to trust with the welfare of my child at stake. Through every aspect of the case Bo has exceeded my expectations, and been there every single time I have needed him (which has been... a lot). Not only is he beyond knowledgeable with every aspect of family law, he is very conscious and considerate of the financial burden of such litigation to his clients. There is no one else better than Bo at protecting the welfare of children and the interest of his clients. I am beyond thankful that my child and I have him, and I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done. Bo has exceeded my expectations since I hired him in 2017. As a parent seeking custody, I wouldn’t have anyone else by my side through this process. Bo was able to deliver exactly what we set out to accomplish, and our child’s life will be forever better due to his, and his teams efforts over this past two years. Through this case I was able to witness his expertise in all areas of the process from: game plan/preparation, mediations, depositions, hearings, trial prep, and negotiations. I can first hand vouch for his character and his ethics. Bo will do what’s right and what has to be done to protect the welfare of his clients children even in the toughest of circumstances. His reputation precedes him and you will get exactly what you pay for. My family and I couldn’t be happier with his sincerity, honesty, work product, and the final outcome. Trust Bo, and trust his process. I will never be able to thank him enough for what he has done for my family. I will recommend him to anyone in need of superior representation.

Highly recommended by a repeat customer

Ok, so here is the sad truth, I am a repeat customer. I believe in marriage and do it often. And Bo has been my counsel throughout these years. Bo has helped me through a divorce and then a pre-nup and follow-up work with my ex-wife. As a professional person, I can relate to the main questions yo...u want answers to: Is he competent? He is at the top of his tier both in legal knowledge and familiarity with the local attorneys and judges. He is also a great counselor at a time where both parties are not thinking straight. This part is vital and often not rated. Bo is a master of getting you to a safe shore with the best possible outcome for you and more important, your reputation and your childrens needs. Is he worth the cost? yes. While great attorneys and doctors may seem expensive, they are a great investment as the results of making a mistake are devastating. Bo is a consummate and honest artist of his craft. He also does not inflate the costs or churn ( a favorite of some of the ilk). So all in all you will pay for what you get - a serious pro on at your side to navigate the tough waters of divorce.

Dad reunited with son...one happy family

Immediately following our initial consultation with Bo, I knew our search for the most qualified attorney to represent my son had ended. I hired him without hesitation even though his fees were higher than others we had contacted. My son was being denied visitation and Bo started strategizing and w...orking on our case as soon as the contract was signed. In spite of my son's prior criminal record, Bo's knowledge and expertise in family custody law put our minds at ease that he could still obtain a favorable verdict. His celebrity endorsements, name recognition, familiarity with mediators and Judges, and the respect he has from his peers within the Court system were impressive as well. Our case was settled in mediation with a victorious outcome. Bo continues to make himself available resolving all issues and concerns as they arise. I am forever grateful to Bo for his dedication to see that our grandson be returned to us. Personally, I would not want to be on the opposing side of him in Court because of the successful reputation he has earned. We would hire him again in a heartbeat...he is definitely worth every penny.

Terrible and Expensive Attorney

I hired Mr. Nichols twice - one in 2005 and another time in 2010. My cases were child custody related. Mr. Nichols was employed at another firm at the time. His representation was terrible. He was not very organized and he often brought more than one lawyer to the hearings. The additional lawyer...s he brought to the hearings resulted in additional fees that he billed me. He filed unnecessary petitions that were not in the original scope of work and he did not keep me informed of the process. He was late to many hearings. Though I eventually got the expected results through the trials, I was billed in excess of $86,000 for my first case and $120,000 for the second case. These cases could have been settled out of court, however Mr. Nichols believed that I would get a better outcome from going to trial instead. I do not recommend his legal services.

The same person who wrote this review, wrote a completely opposite review of me, giving me five stars back on March 21, 2015. Please scroll down to verify. 5.0 stars Posted by Lee March 21, 2015 What happened is he wanted me to continue to represent him and take positions which would compromise my integrity and ethics and I refused to do so. As it relates to the expense associated, I find it funny that this person authorized me to take the actions that I did, at the expense associated with same, which resulted in the victories we received in court. As for settlement, what this person is leaving out is - what he would settle for and what the opposing party would settle for were opposite from one another and, therefore, this person was either required to accept the other side's terms or take it to trial. This person refused to accept the other side's terms so we went to trial and we won.
