Hee Jin Chang

Hee Jin Chang is an involved and respected member of the family law bar in Houston and the surrounding area. She has spent her entire career in family law. She worked to develop her skills in family law and divorce matters even as far back as her law school days. She is knowledgeable in all areas of child custody and related areas as well as the division of assets in divorce. She has front-line trial experience in custody and divorce, including both jury and non-jury cases.

As a law student at the University of Houston Law Center, Hee Jin handled cases as a student-attorney in the Family and Litigation Law Clinic, including child custody, CPS, divorce and domestic violence cases. She clerked at various family law firms including Diggs & Sadler, and worked in the Child Abuse Division of the Harris County Attorney’s office.

Prior to law school, Hee Jin earned her master’s degree in International and Domestic Policy Development from Georgetown University. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas, where she excelled and earned coveted awards both academically and athletically.

No stranger to hard work, in addition to her academic credentials, Hee Jin was a six-time All-American swimmer and member of the Korean Olympic Team. Hee Jin competed in four events in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games as the youngest athlete representing South Korea. In the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Hee Jin broke two Korean national records in the 50m and 100m freestyle.
