Ms. Melendez has been dedicated to practicing employment and labor law since she discovered how many people she could help. At Texas A&M University, she took a course about discrimination in various areas of people’s lives. As part of that class, she learned about employment discrimination and was immediately drawn to this area as an avenue to help people. Her interest deepened after attending law school at The University of Texas School of Law, where she enrolled in every course offered that focused on employment and labor law. To strengthen her future career in this field of practice, she also sought out opportunities to gain real-world experience. First, Ms. Melendez participated in the Transnational Workers’ Rights clinic, which partnered with a non-profit law firm called the Equal Justice Center which specializes in representing indigent clients in their employment disputes. For that semester, she split her time between attending classes and logging hours at the clinic. Learning first-hand how rewarding employment and labor law was propelled Ms. Melendez to seek out more opportunities. One of those opportunities was working as a legal intern in the litigation unit of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The EEOC is a federal agency dedicated to fighting for plaintiffs in their employment law disputes, and Ms. Melendez learned valuable advocacy skills working with those attorneys. As a result of all the steps she took, Ms. Melendez’s decision to practice employment and labor law was cemented. Now, as a trial attorney at the Law Office of Rob Wiley, she represents clients in employment issues related to things like discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour claims, health and safety codes, and protected concerted activity. She also represents clients in multiple forums from state courts to federal courts to administrative proceedings in front of bodies like the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and the EEOC. Ms. Melendez is committed to listening to each client's story, evaluating it, and proposing and executing practical steps to meet client goals. The cornerstone to a successful attorney-client relationship, in Ms. Melendez’s opinion, is creating clear lines of communication to help build trust between her and her clients.

Best lawyer
Paige understood my case from the beginning. She pushed the system to fight for me to be heard and got me more money than I expected! I felt vindicated and felt like I could finally close that chapter in my life.
