Michael Jeffrey Galligan

Michael Galligan is an estate planning, estate and trust administration, and fiduciary litigation attorney practicing in Houston, Texas. Michael works closely with clients to personally tailor their estate plans to their particular needs. Michael also helps families navigate the probate and trust administration process when a loved one has died. When conflict arises, related to a person’s death or the administration of a trust or estate, Michael calls upon his experience as a planner and counselor to help clients embroiled in litigation reach the best outcome.

Michael graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he worked with the faculty of the Annenberg School of Communication.

A national champion fencer, Michael was a 3-time All-American, and 4-time All-Ivy for the University of Pennsylvania men’s fencing team and was twice elected team captain while also being named Academic All-Ivy.

While working toward his law degree, Michael worked as an intern with the Harris County District Attorney’s office. Michael also participated in South Texas College of Law’s Advocacy Program, winning best speaker in 2009’s Intramural Competition, and competing for the school nationally.

Michael graduated from South Texas College of Law in May 2010 and was admitted to practice in the State of Texas in November 2010. Michael has spoken to various groups on topics related to estate planning, estate administration, and fiduciary litigation.

A native Houstonian, Michael is married to Eileen Romero, a teacher at Yes Prep Southeast. Michael and Eileen are parents to Joseph Michael Galligan, born June 14, 2011.
