Korya Carvin received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. While at A&M, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a service organization. Korya then went on to receive her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she also became a certified mediator. Korya was elected as the historian of the legal honor society, became a member of both the mock trial and moot court teams, and was placed on the Dean’s list while in Law School.
Korya is a former Assistant Attorney General with the Child Support Division. She holds a wealth of knowledge dealing with establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support and medical support orders.
Korya is a Houston native. Throughout her childhood, she was a cheerleader and took classes and performed different genres of dance. Korya is still very active in her sorority on the graduate level and continues to help others in her community. She lives in Houston with her dog Kaden and enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends, especially her nephew. Korya’s current practice area focuses on family law and estate planning.
