David Allen Furlow

I have been the Executive Editor of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society Journal and a member of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society's Board of Trustees since 2011. I have been a Hemphill Fellow of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society since 2014.

I serve as the Historian Writer on the Houston Bar Association's Appellate Journal, where I have published many stories about the history, courthouses and legal systems of of Houston and Harris County from their founding to the present.

I have also been a member of the Writers' League of Texas Board of Directors since 2010.

In previous years, I handled First Amendment, election and voting cases while serving as the Chair of the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Section's Media, Defamation and Privacy Law Committee (2006-2007). I also served serving as a Vice-Chair of the Section's Intellectual Property Committee (2007-2011).
