Mitchell Katine

I have worked with MItchell Katine and his firn for many yuears in the homeowner association management industry. Mitchell is extremely easy to work with as are his staff memebers. He is extremely responsive, always delivering when he says he will. He brings a depth of knowledge to the table and p...roactively provides legal guidance to resolve issues, most times before litigation. His firm has been very effective in the enforcement files we turn over to them and they always keep me updated on the files so I may report back to our mutual clients. Mitchell answers his own phone and is always easy to get in touch with. I hghly recommend Mitchell and his firm.

Mr. Katine and his staff handle all homeowner association matters in the Houston area for my company and have done so for the past 3 years. I've used Mitchell Katine for a few legal issues, most recently for an adoption and name change. He was honest, compassionate, and thoughtful in his approach. I believe he did a great job in advocating for me as well as for my child. He brought in the right people at the right times, and he was kn...owledgeable about the judge who handled our case. Mr. Katine handled my STD and LTD disability in 2008. He was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through step by step during the process. My short term and long term disability was approved as well as my social security disability. He seems to really care about his clients and always answered and f...ollowed up with questions. In the beginning of 2012 my social security disability was reviewed and my benefits were cancelled. I immediately contacted Mr. Katine and he referred me to Benjamin Ha in his office. Via teleconference Mr. Hu went through my paperwork and gave me advice on the appeals process. He was very knowledgeable about social security disability. I followed his advice and my appeal was approved. I highly recommend both Mr. Katine and Mr. Hu for LTD disability and Social Security disability.

Back in about 1996 or 1997, my late partner and I had attended several free evening classes that were sponsored, I believe, via either AFH, [Aids Foundation Houston], or what is now known as Legacy Community Health Services regarding what persons should do to protect themselves financially and medica...lly just after discovering that they were recently diagnosed with either HIV+ or AIDS. These classes was taught by Mitchell Katine. Although his services were in high demand even back then Mitchell Katine KNEW how important it was for each of us that could not afford counsel to teach us about holographic wills in addition to the how to and what it would take to fill out the 10+ page form for Social Security Disability and covering oneself for medications during the interim waiting period. My partner and I followed his directions to the letter and neither of us had any difficulty whatsoever getting approved for SSD nor getting the life sustaining medications that we both needed until we were eligible for SS Part D. When my partner passed in 2001, the holographic will held up in Probate Court and I had no issues left to resolve with my partner's family members. It was an amicable process and resolution. They became seamless processes all due to this man's dedication to the community-at-large and empowering each of us to research and discover all that we needed to get through the battles ahead. If it was not for Mitchell Katine my life would be very different to this very day. I am thankful that Mitchel Katine had taken the time out of his busy schedule to reach out to us, to show us the way so that we would not have the hurdles that he knew so many in our community had to jump over to get the life sustaining medications and services that we so desperately needed. He knew that for many of us that grew up without privilege nor had great financial wealth would be able to make the best of what he had to offer us back then - and we did! Mitchel, this is a personal THANK YOU for what you have done for me and I am very grateful for what you had taught me. That empowerment has carried on through other areas of my life as well and I am now able to help others that are going through those processes by being able to point them in the right direction and by proxy they are also thankful to you. Our time in that class was quite limited and I am most likely one of the nameless faces that you have encountered or acquainted yourself with over the years but I personally consider you a friend. I highly recommend this man, Mitchell Katine, for any legal counsel that you may need in his areas of expertise. If I could afford it I would hire him again on the spot.
