Venezuelan by birth, Wady had to move at an early age to El Salvador, before finally settling in Houston. Prior to law school, Wady attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned three different Bachelor of Arts degrees in History, Spanish, and Latin American Studies. His area of concentration focused primarily in Latin American history, specifically during the Cold War era. He also earned a Certificate in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies during his time in Austin.
As a law student in South Texas College of Law Houston, Wady earned an important amount of honors, including being named repeatedly in the Dean’s Honors List and a CALI award for the highest grade in Secured Transactions. Wady focused his efforts in helping lower income individuals with their legal needs by taking part on many pro bono events, citizenship workshops, and the Basic Immigration Law Clinic. He founded the Immigration Law Society at South Texas College of Law Houston with the mission of helping his community with immigration issues. As an Abraham Watkins attorney, Wady’s cases currently focus on motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, petrochemical explosions, and wrongful death.
