Class C misdemeanor

Attorney agreed to take case for a total of 1000.00 He stated because I had the same name as his mom. I paid 1000,00 and he dragged*S the case out for one year telling me he was taking this case to trial because it was clear I had been served an injustice. After a year he tries to reschedule in whi...ch I declined. The attorney was taking on6 other cases in the county and started working closely with the DA. Attorney told me the night before court HE DIDNT WANT TO GO AGAINST THE OFFICER. He said to me"WERE AS YOU WALK AWAY FROM rhis with no record I iWill lose business in this County. He made a plea telling me now it to go to trial. He refused to prep me for trial. The attorney told me he got a plea in which I was NOT guilty, it would NOT show up on my record so pay 335.00 and it's over. He convinced me to sign. As soon as I signed he informed me I had probation in which he didn't disclose. He lied I applied for another job and was called into HR because it shows on my record. I basically gave This attorney 1000.00 for nothing. I ended up worst off than I was. A year went by and I'm out of 1000.00 to end up back where I started a year ago. Well, worst last year I had no probation and it would NOT have been on my record. I did NOT pay for this man to go to a small County and be more worried about employment than his cases. I

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
