Travis Lee Crawford

Travis Crawford is a transactional attorney with his primary focus representing clients in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.  His practice also includes advising clients in entity structure and corporate governance.

He is a fourth generation graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and South Texas College of Law, where he was a member of the Dean's Honor List.  

Mr. Crawford brings a unique skill set to his oil and gas practice, having worked in several areas of the exploration and production side of the business.  His career in oil and gas began in 2005 as a roustabout and roughneck on a jack-up drilling rig 90 miles off the coast of Louisiana.  Prior to and during his studies at South Texas, he was a landman, researching title, negotiating leases and performing due diligence throughout the state of Texas.  Since graduating from South Texas and becoming licensed to practice law in Texas, Mr. Crawford has advised both large and small exploration and production companies as to all aspects of their upstream oil and gas operations.  His experience on the rigs and as a landman help guide his legal practice, allowing him to understand his audience and the practical result application of law in the oilfield.

As his practice has evolved, Mr. Crawford has had the opportunity to advise clients in the management of their corporate affairs including corporate structuring and governance, mergers and acquisitions and other business operation issues.

Mr. Crawford is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar, the American Association of Professional Landmen,  Houston Association of Professional Landmen, the Houston Bar Association and the Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Section of the Houston Bar Association.  Mr. Crawford is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
