Finding Shamim was like fate. An appointed attorney put me on deferred for my theft charge. I was afraid of the system and all the conditions that came along with deferred like checking in, UAs and taking the classes and courses, and so I never went back after leaving the pre-trial department. I fini...shed all the courses and classes and paid all the fees, but was violated for failing to appear and picking up a DWLI. Shamim charged me a really reasonable fee and then worked his magic. He got the failure to appear overturned and theft case dismissed in two settings. Best part, the judge started off by saying he'd give me time-served on the theft case and dismiss the DWLI, but Shamim wasn't having it. Shamim then argued to the judge to dismiss the theft case and give a time served on the DWLI. It was great to watch. Then as Shamim was explaining to me the judge's offer, the judge called out to Shamim that he'd dismiss the theft case and rake time-served on the DWLI. I don't think any other Houston criminal defense attorney would have openly fought that had for such a low fee. Finding Shamim and hiring him was definitely fate. He's an awesome attorney.
