Divorce Attorney for Men

I hired Michelle LeBlanc to represent me in my Divorce. This was not your typical cookie-cutter Divorce, even though it should have been. My Ex-Wife hired an Attorney that pumped her up about getting Spousal Support, Child Support, and just about every other asset of value. Michelle cut through th...e BS, reversed the tactics, ultimately causing my Ex to change attorney's 7 months into the Divorce. As a result, her new Attorney did not have time to get a clear understanding of the case, or the assets. Michelle never allowed the new Attorney a chance to get more time. Another positive, Michelle's background in Accounting, she fully understood, not just my financial numbers, but the opposition's financial numbers. As a result, Michelle hammered home an agreement that was more than favorable. I don't think the new Attorney ever had a full understanding of the finances, or maybe just did not care to invest time trying to understand. In a Divorce, I don't think anyone wins; however, I could have been left sleeping in a Refrigerator Box if I would have hired just any Divorce Attorney. The moral to the story, hiring the right Attorney makes a big difference, experience matters. I am so happy I hired Michelle LeBlanc!!

Excellent outcome with an Excellent Attorney

When I first started with Michelle's my situation was very dark with a bad outcome. Then Michelle started to work, she ease my worries and discussed the plan of action for full success. Today after months of struggles I can say I won the case, my child support case. I highly recommend Michelle, she i...s strong, skillful and well knowledge of the law. If you have a case for family she is the lawyer you want next to you.

Awesome

Where to begin? I was in the process of getting a divorce and had hired an attorney who purported to be a family lawyer. I had separate property prior to my marriage. Meanwhile, my wife secured the services of a well known local attorney and they absolutely ran over me and my faux family attorney ...in the initial mediation. From that experience I knew I had to obtain better counsel. I reviewed this site and made an appointment. I met with Michelle and I appreciated two things about her from the onset. First, she did not sugarcoat anything she explained my good and bad facts and second, she had an office by the family courthouse. I think the office next to the courthouse is an important consideration because if you have any kind of an involved case there are probably going to be a lot of appearances and motions. You need someone who knows their way around the courthouse and does not accumulate a lot of hours driving back and forth. I’m not sure my first attorney knew where the courthouse was which should have been some kind of clue to me of her incompetence. The first thing Michelle told me was I needed to hire a forensic accountant which I did. This turned out to be the best advice I received for had I not proved “professionally” what were my assets prior to the marriage the court and the other attorney would have easily taken half of everything I had accumulated prior to the marriage. Note: the first attorney told me “you’re going to have to prove that those were yours prior to marriage” without explaining what I needed to do. Had I stayed with her I would have gone into the court before the judge and tried to “explain” why they were separate property which would not have been enough for the court. It seems they (the courts) believe everything is community unless you can prove “professionally” otherwise. I had been given the usual discovery questions with the first attorney. She said “answer all these questions and gather all the requested material as best you can and get it to me as soon as possible”. If you’ve ever seen that list, it is rather intimidating and time consuming. Michelle told me which ones to answer and which ones that I did not have to answer, probably cut the list in half so I could focus on the important ones and not waste time collecting information that was irrelevant. Throughout the process Michelle kept me informed and gave me good, straight forward counsel. It was not always what I wanted to hear when I wanted to hear it but it was truthful and factual. I’ve had and known attorneys before that would tell you what a great case you had all the way to the courthouse only to start squirming at the last second. Michelle is not like that, she tells you exactly how she sees things, the pluses and the minuses, so you can make informed decisions while spending as little as possible. Lastly, I was told one time, a long time ago, that in order to be a really good attorney you have to know (and I mean know them not how to look them up) the rules. Michelle knows the rules of law, deadlines for discovery, proper procedure, submittal of evidence, etc. these are all important if you have a contested case. In summary, I strongly recommend Michelle as a family lawyer.

One word......"Passionate"

So if I could sum up the law offices of Michelle Leblanc in one word that one word would be “Passionate”. During my separation/divorce, I was wanted to keep things fair and equal during the overall process. I reached out to a couple of friends & co-works that I knew and ask for a couple of referral...s that I could speak with and see if they were the right fit for me and my demeanor. Now to represent me and my case there were something that a law office needed to know that were very important to me… 1) I love my kids and would give up the world for them. 2) I would need to be friends with me soon to be ex after this process was completed and 3) most importantly I needed things to be “fair and equal” once everything was said in done. After speaking with a few groups/law firms I quickly understood that this wasn’t about my concerns at all but how their win total and overall cost was being achieved until I meet with Michelle. Now by the time I actually meet with Michelle I had had enough of this whole process and had given up hope here that I would find someone a law firm that had some integrity, morals or at least some standards that could handle my case with the “Compassion” it needed but with the “Passion” to know that in the end I need this to be “fair and equal”…and Michelle did just that. Throughout the whole process Michelle would remind me that (Wesley, you have to live after this… you have to rebuild and have something to rebuild with…. And if you give it all way, what would you have to give to other… and most importantly to yourself…). Those words never rang out truer than during the preceding and the days before & during negotiations between my ex and her legal team. Behind the all of the traps, shenanigans, tom foolery and any other word you would like to use, Michelle and her team were “Passionate” to do the following activities… • Passionate to be ...Diligent in the pursuit for being fair and equal… even when the other side is not. • Passionate to be… Transparent, to layout the good, the bad, & the ugly but be willing to discuss them all in detail. • Passionate to be…Relentless, in her desire to provide me all the necessary information to make a direct, clear & precise decision on how to navigate during these troubling times to see a brighter future not only for my children…. But for me as well. In all Michelle has been a focal point in my life. She has provided me the ability to separate amicably from my ex spouse and also the chance to start over again and to keep the 3 top things on my list and ensure that those were obtained…..1) To love my kids and give up the world for them. 2) Allow me to be friends with me soon to be ex after this process was completed and 3) most importantly to needed things to be “fair and equal”. The Law Offices of Michelle LeBlanc achieved these points and so much more. I am indebted to you and your wonderful legal services and recommend you and what you do for so many others. Take care. Regards, Wesley

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I endorse this lawyer. I have known and worked with Michelle for over 18 years and have referred many cases to her over the years. Actually, she is the only attorney I refer to in the Family Law area. As a Board Certified Specialist since 1989 and a Family attorney since 1972, I try very hard to refer potential clients to a safe, excellent place when I cannot be the attorney. I refer only to Michelle because she is diligent, intelligent, zealous in protection of her client's rights and very compassionate. I believe it is good for the profession to refer to competent attorneys because it is my reputation on the line with any referral I make. Michelle is the only family attorney I trust with my reputation because I know she will properly handle the case. I know this due to the fact that we have worked together on a number of cases at the beginning of her career and through the years."
