If disappointment was a person. This "attorney" was assigned to my case through the Military and Veterans Unit at Lone Star Legal Aid. She flaked on our appointments multiple times and did not even attempt to call or email until I complained to her managing attorney. Then it was every excuse you ...could imagine, including deflecting and trying to shift blame for why she doesn't do her job. A job that is funded by very generous donations meant to help active servicemembers and veterans. What a joke. From what I've learned she has a history of this type of behavior. If you're unlucky enough to have your case assigned to her, do yourself a favor and just find help elsewhere. She will waste your time and provide zero results. Lone Star Legal Aid won't allow you to have your case reassigned to a different attorney even when the one you've been assigned is completely useless and refuses to do their job. This experience really makes me question where the funding is going for this non-profit because surely it isn't going to help military members and their families. Does Jonna still get paid from these charitable donations even though she's not providing the service? Probably worth looking into.
