Client Review of Derek H. Deyon – The Deyon Law Group, PLLC My experience with Derek H. Deyon and The Deyon Law Group, PLLC was extremely disappointing. I retained Mr. Deyon specifically to file an emergency Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to stop the foreclosure sale of my home. That was the... primary reason I hired him and paid his legal fees. Despite the urgency of my case, no TRO or lawsuit was filed before the scheduled foreclosure sale. Instead, without discussing it with me or obtaining my approval, he chose a different strategy by sending debt validation letters to the lender. I was never informed that he had decided not to pursue the legal action for which I retained him. During the most critical period of my case, my repeated phone calls and text messages went unanswered. I received little to no communication while the foreclosure deadline was approaching. I did not receive a meaningful response until after the critical deadline had passed. Because I could not rely on the legal services I had hired him to perform, I was forced to file an emergency Chapter 13 bankruptcy petition at the last minute in an effort to protect my home. This has had significant financial consequences for me, including damage to my credit and additional legal burdens that I believe could have been avoided. Based on my personal experience, I believe communication, diligence, and client involvement were seriously lacking. I expected my attorney to act promptly in a time-sensitive foreclosure matter and to keep me informed before making major strategic decisions. I encourage anyone considering hiring this law firm to ask detailed questions about who will handle your case, what specific legal actions will be taken, how frequently you will receive updates, and whether all strategic decisions will be discussed with you before they are made. This review reflects my own experience as a client.

This attorney was the best attorney I have ever had.
