Dawn Rogers is a native Houstonian and founder of The Rogers Law Group (TRLG) where she represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation. She has a diverse and active trial practice in federal and state courts, with litigation and appellate experience ranging from family law, employment law, construction law, consumer law, environmental law, contract disputes and personal injury cases. Ms. Rogers' clientele ranges from individuals to large corporations and government municipalities.
In 2002, Ms. Rogers earned her Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. During her studies, she interned with the Harris County Attorney's Office in the General Counsel Division, served as law clerk for Judge Work in the 189th District Court and interned with the First District Court of Appeals under the supervision and guidance of Justice Tim Taft. Ms. Rogers obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1998 from Sam Houston State University while serving as Vice President of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity and was a committee chairperson of Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society.
Immediately after graduating from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Ms. Rogers worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas in the Law Enforcement Defense Division where she tried civil rights lawsuits in Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern District Federal courts and briefed cases to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. After working as an Assistant Attorney General, Ms. Rogers transitioned into private practice as an associate in a prestigious law firm in Houston, Texas. While there, Ms. Rogers aggressively defended major corporations in product/strict liability and personal injury suits, resulting in several pre-trial dismissals and/or successful settlements. Representative clients include: Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Mazda, Houston Independent School District, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Mid-Continent Insurance Companies and Safeco Insurance.
Not only has she had successful wins for large corporations, but she has large wins for the "underdog". Her appreciation and skill as a defense attorney leads to speedy and cost effective results when representing Plaintiffs as well. The ability to anticipate the opposing side's next step before they take that step is the key to winning cases. Ms. Rogers will get the best result--whether through settlement or the courtroom--which ever course of action is necessary.

Dawn was great. I got everything I wanted and more in my child support case. She also has payment plans which is awesome for single mothers. I recommend her to everyone and will use her again if necessary.
