Collin Evans was born and raised in Texas. He attended The University of Texas where he received his degree from the Red McCombs School of Business. After graduating, Collin worked in the Intellectual Property division at Fulbright & Jaworski assisting with patent prosecution. Before entering into law school, Collin trained in Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which instilled a sense of discipline, strong work ethic, and disposition to fight that he has carried over into his law practice. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law.
In law school, Collin traveled as an advocate with Mock Trial teams for one of the top ranked schools in the nation for trial advocacy. He also clerked for Justice Terry Jennings at the First Court of Appeals, and at the criminal defense law firm of Stradley, Chernoff & Alford for three years. After obtaining his law license, the firm hired Collin as their Associate Attorney where he worked for the next several years fighting for clients and trying cases before founding his own law firm.
Collin practices criminal defense law with an emphasis on DWI cases. He has helped clients through difficult situations from initial investigations, to first time DWI offenses, to high profile cases that garner intense media attention. Since becoming a lawyer Collin has obtained acquittals or dismissals for his clients in a wide range of felony and misdemeanor cases, including DWI, possession of controlled substances (drugs), assault, family violence, prostitution, arson, sexual assault, Motion to Revoke Probation/Adjudicate and theft charges. As a member of the defense team that represented Dr. Conrad Murray in the involuntary manslaughter charge for the death of Michael Jackson, Collin experienced the intensity that the worldwide media can put on a highly publicized criminal allegation and knows how to handle these types of cases with professionalism and integrity.
Collin continually works to be prepared for every client’s situation. He has obtained certification as an ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer Scientist. He was trained as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Practitioner, just like the police officers that administer the roadside tests in DWI cases. He is an active member of The College of State Bar Texas, National College for DUI Defense, DUI Defense Lawyer’s Association, and multiple defense lawyer associations around the Houston area. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and Texas Lawyer Rising Star for six straight years. He has also received the Avvo Client’s Choice Award every year since starting his own firm in 2013.

I can never express how grateful I feel for Collin’s legal representation. I was at an extremely stressful time due to the fact that I had to hire a new attorney after a year due to lack of communication. He stepped in and was very patient with me. He put me at ease at a time that I didn’t think I...

I cannot thank Collin Evans and his incredible team (especially Kim) enough for their exceptional work. Collin filed a Writ of Habeas Corpus on my behalf and successfully got my previous case dismissed—a case that was far from easy. When I first reached out to him, I was lost, depressed, and unabl...
"Collin is an intelligent, principled, and dedicated lawyer. I trust him completely. When people come to me with legal issues that require a criminal attorney, I send them to Collin."
"Collin is my go to for all criminal defense needs. Not only do I refer my clients to him, but I also send friends and family. If I were ever in trouble with the law he would be my first call."
"When I have clients who need a trusted Houston Attorney, I always send them Collin's way. Collin has worked high profile cases and everyday criminal basics and I know he gives the same care regardless of case type. This is the guy I would hire if I needed an attorney!"
"Collin and I have worked together for more than 10 years on every type of criminal case imaginable. I have a great deal of respect for Collin as a lawyer and a person. Collin is conscientious, effective and honest. I highly endorse Collin."
"I endorse this lawyer. Collin is an extremely smart and passionate lawyer in our community. He's always impressed me with the results he gets for his clients."
"Collin Evans is a fearless and effective courtroom litigator. But what really sets him apart is his knowledge of the law. My office is near his, and I've benefited many times from his knowledge of the latest state and federal precedents."
"Collin is a skilled criminal defense attorney who represents his clients with fervor. My experience with Collin is that he is always well prepared to provide his clients with the best representation they need and require. Unlike some criminal defense attorneys who push their clients to accept plea deals because they are afraid to face trial, Collin is capable and willing to fight and defend cases through trial when necessary. If I needed representation in a criminal matter, my first call would be to Collin Evans."
"Collin is an excellent lawyer. He is dedicated to his clients and is always well-prepared to get them the best results. I've seen Collin in trial and was quite impressed."
"I endorse this lawyer. When my clients have criminal issues, I trust Collin Evans to treat them with the same care I treat them. More importantly, if I needed criminal defense representation, my first call would be to Mr. Evans."
