He attended Texas State University on an ROTC scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in history and a minor in military science. Mr. Dill worked in the oil field and offshore briefly as a young man, before becoming an army officer and an attack helicopter pilot for the Texas and North Carolina National Guard, making the rank of Captain before honorably leaving the service. In addition to being an attorney, Mr. Dill holds a commercial pilot license, giving him additional insight into aviation-related litigation.
