I was indicted without ever knowing I was accused of crime. Stephan Goodman with my court appointed attorney and I sat in jail writing her letters that she never replied to or read calling her weekly without ever getting an answer. When she finally came to see me I had been sitting in jail without ev...en knowing the extent of my charges for 193 days. I was finally able to bond out and I only saw her on screen threw zoom court over the next 2 1/2 years. A total of 47 pretrial appearances. I still had not ever read my indictment, she completely denied me any documentation about my case. Even when the ongoing strain of the legal battle rendered me homeless Ms Goodman did nothing. I filed grievance for the State bar giving the details of her negligence. In her reply and appeal she stated outright lies alleging that she had met with me dozens of times. When in fact she had refused to meet with a person that would have been a great help to my case and soon after that person passed away they were being able to be interveiwed or get the evidence on record. As of this post I have been dealing with this case for 1,019 days without ever being able to go over the details of my indictment, never presented with one piece of documentation of my case, not knowing single detail of what's going on. Ive now been diagnosed with life threatening medical issues and have been denied permission by bondsman to travel more is needed to get treatment and been my state. Tonight my speedy trial, good night write the face my future or know the evidence against me. Denied the ability to participate my own defense, and denied the right to adequate legal counsel. Ms Goodman's casual friendship with judge weatherby was used anyway aviation for me filing a grievance against her. I missed one zoom Court pretrial due to my medical issues days after she was notified of the grievance and the judge refused to examine the documentation in this Goodman refused to present it as reason for my absence. Therefore the judge gave me a failure to appear warrant with a bond 10 times what would normally be given. Causing meet you again be arrested and on my release on yet another Bond once again because I'm homeless shelter day after because of medical and financial strain. Because of Miss goodmans negligence I'm at elevated risk of Major medical collapse while still having no legal representation. Do not keep this woman as your attorney. Her actions are more criminal than anything she possibly defend

Do not give this woman a dime , and if you do do not sign her contract that states if she decides to quit on you she keeps any and all money you paid her , meaning once she's got your money ,you are if no importance to her, I paid her $6800 to do absolutely nothing at a bond reduction hearing... but clarify to the jail that my bond was $75000 ,not only did she not get a reduction she allowed added stipulations that implied I was already guilty, DV classes and anger management. She didn't object when the DA made false statements about how many prior dv incidents the sheriff got called to my house for which was absolutely zero no arrest or charges but my sleepy lawyer didn't object to any of it .. multiple lies in the complaining witness 's statements as well as the offense reports , but she acted as if it's ok for them to lie no big deal. She lied to me and said there was no body cam footage when there is , anything that meant she had to work she ignored. She stole my money and severely crippled my defense fund and hurt my chances at a fair trial , this woman has no business practicing law on her own .

Biggest case of my life and I get stuck with her. She couldn’t be bothered by my situation. Placed in holding in jail for 5 days with SEVEN fractured vertebrae on movement restrictions, I got arraigned, and bond set at 1/2 million. Didn’t meet her once. Called DAILY without any response. Getting wo...rried because court is in a week and she has not one been in contact.

Being charged with a felony that carried up to 99 years was stressful to say the least. Stephanie knew exactly what to do and we waited till out time to shine so to speak. On cross exam she nailed it. Case dismissed suppression of evidence granted. Stephanie knows ins & outs of the "system" Court ap...pointed I thought I they would hang me for sure!! I was arrested on a felony drug charge. I was unable to make bail and Stephanie Goodman was appointed to represent me. I sat in jail for 7 months without hearing anything from her. No phone call, no visit, family tried to contact her and nothing, I also wrote her several letters. Finally after my fam...ily talking to the DA multiple times they agreed to give me a PR Bond. When i was finally indicted and went to court, she didn't show 2 times and had to reschedule. When she finally did show, she talked to me for a few mins and told me to take the plea offer cause I had no case. I know she received my letters from jail because they were in my file that she had but she never replied.
