Teresa’s legal career includes practicing law in Texas and New York City. She is of counsel to Lighthouse Legal Services, PLLC (formerly Blanchard & Thomas, PLLC). Teresa has a wealth of experience, beginning with her practice at Clifford Chance US LLP in the bustling legal landscape of New York City, and including practice at Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson, PLLC in Waco, Texas.

Holding licenses to practice law in Texas, New York, and the District of Columbia, Teresa’s expertise extends across multiple jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice in numerous state and federal courts. Her legal career includes valuable stints working for a federal appellate judge in Wilmington, Delaware, and a federal district judge in Chicago, Illinois. Teresa is an alumna of the University of Chicago Law School and Rice University in Houston.

Her commitment to advancing women in the legal profession is evident. Teresa served as chair of State Bar of Texas Women and the Law Section, president-elect of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, and president of the New York Women’s Bar Association (Manhattan).

Further contributing to her distinguished career, Teresa worked as an associate executive director at the New York State Bar Association. She played a pivotal role in coordinating legal volunteers to aid small businesses in New York City post-9/11. Beyond her legal endeavors, Teresa’s diverse background includes teaching English in public schools in Japan. A proud Texan, Teresa was born and raised in the Lone Star State.
