Do NOT hire...

This lawyer was more concerned with paying off the retainer than working or addressing the concerns I had with my divorce case. $1500 to do my divorce and he wouldn't even respond to me when I informed him about my spouse violating the court order, repeatedly. I had recommend him initially to friends..., but now I wouldn't tell anyone to hire him. He removed himself as my counsel because I couldn't pay him on demand; we didn't agree on a payment schedule, mind you. One night at 11pm he texted me and that was the 2nd time I had heard from him in about 2 months and then a few days later he mentioned in an email that he wanted the other part of the retainer. I told him court wasn't for another few weeks and I didn't have it right now and he replied with he would file a motion to remove himself as my counsel.

The worst unprofessional service I have ever had.

I used him for a custody case and divorce in which he did not keep me Informed and it was not his area of expertise this resulted in me needing to get a new lawyer. When I told him this he became extremely upset calling my new lawyer a real class act for taking on my case and told me she had not been... practicing for long and that she was inexperienced. A friend of mine who had just came back from Afghanistan and was in uniform stated to him, the new lawyer must be doing something right because she has her own practice, and a place of business that has equipment that works. He stated this because Steven said his printer was not working and hr could not print my documents. This upset so much that he told him to get out if his office, he was screaming this to the top of his lungs and got in his face. I was so shocked and upset from the unprofessional behavior he displayed we left and Steven proceeded to follow us out yelling at us. He got out side and threw a piece of bark from a tree at my car. I was scared and in tears because I couldn't believe a lawyer would act this way. He was unprofessional and acted like a child by throwing a tantrum because I changed my lawyer. He also could have put my friend in a bad situation and myself by behaving this way because if someone would have saw him screaming and throwing an object at my car and called the police, he was in the wrong but in the military conflicts of any kind can affect your career. I had been waiting on a divorce date for a almost a year with him and my new lawyer got me a date within a month or so and had it finalized. Also I spoke with Michael who he works for about this and nothing was done. This added stress to custody case, he was unprofessional and I was just scared to deal with him after his blow up and happy that I changed my lawyer. I felt this way because if he could not keep his composure when my friend said something to him which was not rude because he kept down talking me and my new lawyer then how would be beneficial to me in court. The worst service I have had in my entire life.
