My complaint is on Dori Mistic, we were referred to her by her family members. Giving them benefit of the doubt we had high hopes she’d be good. We went to Dori back in April 2017, discussed we needed my daughters father to sign over his rights and my husband adopt my daughter. She said okay we can d...o, she said she would start as soon as she was paid. So we paid her In FULL the next day! She was like I’ll get it done ASAP. It took months and months of asking and reminding her what she was supposed to do for us to even sort of start it. I had to chase her and contact her multiple times via different forms of contact. She would sometimes take over a month to even respond. She didn’t even contact me to update me on the case nor even tell me she moved offices, her own daughter had to tell me. She kept telling us each month it would be all done quickly, and here we are February 2018 waiting for our court date they promised to set back January 4th when they last spoke of the case. I’ve written many emails and called many times and left voice mails. All I got in response was an email saying “you call us, have a good weekend “ just a very unprofessional, uncaring lawyer. If someone pays you in full you should be in it and updating them and getting their case done. Not having them chase you around for a year for any contact ! Please stay away and do not use. It’s a waste of time and money for something that could have been done quickly by any other lawyer. I have many of the same complaints for people I know personally who have used her too, sadly.

Ok so I was contacted by Dori ray Mistic and was told she was appointed by the court to represent me as my attorney because I live in el Paso rd and I was not able to drive to coryell county to court . They had the hearing she told me afterwards that she would send the preceding to me through the mai...l and to this point I have not received anything from her or the court. This was in regards to my parental rights being terminated to my 2 son from previous marriage. She told me that I would not have to continue paying child support to my ex foe my 2 son's. Now I get a letter from the attorney General that their going to take more money from me for the same 2 son's I was already paying for. The problem is since the hearing ended I have t been able to talk to her and nobody in the court system knows her and she doesn't return my phone calls or messages. From reading some other reviews it's seems that this is a problem that is not just with me but many others. I feel she has been very unprofessional and would not recommend her if you have something important you need help with!

She was horrible. I fired her after working with her for almost 6 months. She took forever to file my divorce paperwork and did not file for child support. She never let me know what was happening with my case and rescheduled almost every appointment. She basically screwed me out of $3000. My new att...orney was able to finalize my divorce within 3 months of him taking over my case.
