I was arrested for a dwi. I was told by the arresting officer that I would have a good case, due to the fact that I was polite and was only .1 over the legal limit. I came to David and and he wanted $3500 dollars to take my case. I should of had more questions and I should of evaluated my situation alittle more carefully. However, I wanted the problem delt with and it seemed like an easy out. I gave him the money and I got a deal from the prosecutor that would keep anything from going on my record. However I feel like a public defender could of got time the same deal for free. So I paid $3500 for something I could of got for free. In criminal cases the strength of your attorney is not nearly as important as the strength of your case. Also wanted $1500 to have my record expunged. I can't help but feel that $1500 is alittle steep for essentially filing paperwork.

Mr. Stokes was very informative of how the steps of my case would be carried out. His office kept me on notice of all court appearances and when I was expected to be present. His counseling kept me out of trouble later on in life.
