Matthew S. Gipson is a seasoned legal professional with over 10 years of experience and a founding partner of Williams & Gipson Law Firm in Decatur, Texas. Together with his partner, Steven M. Williams, who brings a distinguished career spanning 45 years, the firm offers a legacy of combined legal expertise exceeding 55 years.

Mr. Gipson's legal journey began in Oregon, where he made a name for himself as a trial lawyer. His experience as a prosecutor at the Marion County District Attorney's Office provided him with a deep understanding of the criminal justice system, which he later leveraged as a defense attorney and partner at a prominent Salem, Oregon law firm, Ferder Casebeer, LLP. This role solidified his reputation as a formidable courtroom advocate, having represented clients in over 24 counties and gaining invaluable trial experience in over 50 criminal  jury trials. Mr. Gipson was the lead attorney on a Portland, OR, murder case whcih was eventually dropped to Criminally Negligent Homicide, and his jury trial experience involves cases of DWI and domestic violence to sexual assault and manslaughter. 

Returning to his home state of Texas, Mr. Gipson established Williams & Gipson Law Firm alongside his partner, Steven M. Williams. The firm offers comprehensive legal counsel, specializing in criminal defense, divorce, child custody, and personal injury law. Their combined decades of experience allows them to provide aggressive and compassionate representation to clients facing complex legal challenges.
