Biography
Hugh Coleman brings over three decades of diverse legal experience and public service to his practice. A graduate of Trinity University (B.A., Philosophy) and the University of Tulsa School of Law, Mr. Coleman is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts and several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He served as Denton County Commissioner for Precinct 1 (2009–2020) and has been an influential leader in the local legal community—as Past President of both the Denton County Bar Association and the Denton County Young Lawyers Association, and as a creator of the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. Mr. Coleman’s experience spans civil and criminal trial work, including employment discrimination, civil rights, and tort litigation. In private practice, he represents clients across a range of employment law matters and assists businesses with transactional work such as contracts, HR policies, and formations. Recognized for his commitment to public service and the legal profession, Mr. Coleman has received multiple accolades, including the Texas Young Lawyers Association President’s Award of Merit.

Pragmatic Attorney
Mr. Coleman was able to get a stagnant case moving forward to resolution. Previous attorneys seemed more interested in racking up charges than making progress. My only regret is in not hiring Mr. Coleman first!
