Dan Kossmann has been practicing exclusively in the fields of Juvenile and Criminal law for over thirty-four (35) years and has been Board Certified in Juvenile Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since its inception in 2001. This distinction is held by only 32 Juvenile defense attorneys in the State of Texas where there are over 98,0000 attorneys registered to practice law.
Dan Kossmann began his career as a Prosecutor for the Denton County District Attorney’s Office and worked in that capacity for seven years. During that time Dan Kossmann became the Chief Juvenile Prosecutor.
He has practiced in every Denton County Criminal Court since 1985. Therefore, he has the advantage of working on both sides of the law and is well versed in negotiating the best outcome for his clients. Dan Kossmann has tried everything from minor traffic offenses to capital murder cases and is passionate in his representation of each client.
He has the experience of skillfully obtaining good plea settlements for 1000s of cases during his tenure, and has represented clients in hundreds of cases before a jury using excellent courtroom skills to achieve successful results.
