Do NOT Hire This Attorney

Michael Brinkley was hired to represent us through a company called DOLO investments that promised to save our home. We followed and did EVERYTHING that was asked of us by the court system in Dallas county We had not heard anything about our case as we trusted all parties involved to do what they w...ere hired to do It wasn't until a constable showed up to our home with an eviction notice to say we had to vacate our home. I called DOLO and asked them WTH is going on. The person who we had been talking with was as shocked as we were since he said he never heard anything from Mr. Brinkley. It was then we found out he never attended any hearings or relayed any messages or let anyone involved know what was going on. When I finally spoke with he he started back pedaling and said he knew nothing of any hearings and had not been contacted by anyone in regards to our case. ALL LIES, as DOLO representative went to courthouse and obtained all the information that should have been passed on to us. He stopped answering my phone calls and emails and text messages and left us to fend for ourselves We lost thousands of dollars on account of this person and it has been a nightmare dealing with all this. We trusted this company and Mr. Brinkley to help us but in the end we lost everything.

Don't hire this attorney.

Mr. Brinkley FAILED TO PERFORM HIS RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN ATTORNEY. He failed to complete interrogatories. He failed to appear at depositions. He failed to competently represent our case. He failed to notify us (his clients) about depositions. He failed to communicate with us in a timely, meanin...gful manner, sometimes ignoring for many weeks (sometimes for MONTHS) our repeated attempts to reach him, our questions, our phone voicemail messages, our emails, even our certified letters. Mr. Brinkley has been suspended by the Texas State Bar (TWICE, for more than 10 years total) for treating other clients the same way. He is currently under such suspension ("probationary") by the Texas State Bar, from 2012-2018. During BOTH of his suspensions (2005-2010 & 2012-2018), his misconduct and failures to properly represent his clients continued with other clients. Mr. Brinkley's failure to appear at depositions ultimately caused our case to be dismissed. As a result, and combined with his other failures to perform properly, we lost our case and so we lost our home due to a wrongful foreclosure. (We did not miss ANY payments after March 18, 2010, when Bank of America enrolled us in the MHA HAMP Program. Bank of America promised in writing NOT to foreclose if we made all of our MHA HAMP payments, which we did. Bank of America's foreclosure was entirely wrongful and breached their written agreement with us under the MHA HAMP Program. If we had been competently represented, we would NOT have lost our home.) We believe that Mr. Brinkley's repeated and frequent misconduct has made a mockery of the State Bar's "probationary" suspensions and reprimands and that Mr. Brinkley should LOSE HIS LICENSE TO PRACTICE LAW in Texas. DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!
