Ellen dixius is very unprofessional and will not get the job done. She is very expensive and charges you for emails, calls, you name it she will charge you! She speaks a good game in the beginning and then before you know it robs your right in front of your eyes. She called me a b**ch because I wante...d my son picked up at my house. DO NOT GO WITH ELLEN, IF YOU DO THEN KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE. she does not look out for you

I wish I had saw these ratings before I sign up with her, because it is ABSOLUTELY TRUE! Whatever you do , do not let her initial consultataion sell you, it is all a gimmick to get your money and do nothing else. RUN AWAY! Ellen is not a good attorney , she will not fight for you. She will just lay d...own and let whomever win. I spent a lot of time and money with Ellen and when the day came to defend me infront the judge, SHE DID NOTHING. I warn you to choose some one else or you will have a better chance of just doing it your self. That is pretty much what I did when I stood in front the judge. I spoke for my self and ellen did nothing. DO NOT DO IT.PLEASE I am warning you.Listen to the following comments to. I am so hurt and shame that I hire this person to do nothing for me but help take my hard earn money and blow it.

Take it from me and the other two review too, use someone else. Two years in court and nothing she said she would do was done and she did not fight like she said she would. Every question or email was not answered but it was charged or taken out of the retainer fee. She would speak with us right b...efore going into court and each email or visit was 100 or thousands of dollars. After everything is done I have tried to reach out and ask some simple questions, ignored probably because she isn't getting more money! All I can say is after two year and countless visits in court with her I would not recommend her to anyone or use her again. She will talk a huge game but will not show it in court and by then your money is spent so you have to get another person or hope she can get it done. Please research and use someone else!!!

After reading the one and only review on this post I have to say that I am in total agreement with the review. After reading it I could have copied and pasted it as my own experience because the same thing happened to me. Ellen really sells herself at the initial consult which is "free" by the way....... I paid all her fees because I had initial confidence in her she presents herself so well at the first free meeting. She took my money which was $2,500 and wanted more. She did nothing I asked... My case was involving my son in a custody suit he is disabled child. My advice would be run the other way. She is very persuasive at the consult she will take your money up front and ride on the coat tails of the opposing Attorney. If she met with 1 client at $2,500 a person over 5 days that would be $12,500 per week. Anyway to sum this up I would have been better off representing myself. I now have to come up with more money and hire another attorney. Starting from scratch. If you hire Ms. Dixius on retainer you may as well light a match to your money.

When I first met with Ellen Dixius, she assured me she could get the job done. She told me that she sat in as a Judge when the judge was absent. She tooted her own horn for about 75% of the meeting. That should have been a sign. She charged me thousands and thousands of dollars and got very little... done. She only semi-communicated with me for 5 minutes before my case went to trial before the judge. Anytime I tried to communicate with her there was no response. I called and emailed and only got charged more money for it. I kept paying her the money she asked for in hopes that the case would be finished. She never did resolve my case, and I had to retain a new attorney. Having her as my attorney was very stressful and expensive. I would not recommend her to anyone.
