My career has centers around the representation of those accused of criminal offenses and challenging convictions on appeal. With the exception of a brief time as a Dallas County Public Defender, Since I began practing law, I have advocated for those accused of criminal offenses- in private practice as a sooo attorney, as a public defender in Dallas County, and now as an associate with The Crowder Law Firm. I have appeared in courtrooms all over north Texas to fight for clients that are facing accusations by the government, including Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, Collin, Johnson, Parker, Hood, Rockwall, McLennan, Hill, Bosque, Erath, Montague, and other counties.
I graduated from what is now Texas A&M School of Law, lwaving a civilian position with the Fort Worth Police Department to obtain my Juris Doctor degree. I have admitted to practice by the State Bar of Texas, US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the US Supreme Court. i hold a Board Certification in criminal law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, am a Fellow of the Texas Bar College, and have have served on the board of the Criminal Justice Section of the State Bar of Texas. The Hood County CDLA, and the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

"Alan has never backed down from a fight. Ever. And he approaches every case with an attention to detail and thoroughness that is a true credit to the profession. I'm proud to have worked with him, and I wouldn't want to take on a tough case without at least his advice."
"I have worked with Mr. Steele on several occassions and found him to be knowledgable, prompt, and professional. He is more than competent and capable in the work that he does and is a strong advocate for his clients."
