Emily Grace Cottingham

Emily G. Cottingham joined Parker Straus, LLP in the Fall of 2014 as an Associate Attorney at its Fort Worth, Texas office. Ms. Cottingham gained experience in personal injury law, specializing in catastrophic personal injury and mass torts prior to joining Parker Straus. Ms. Cottingham now concentrates her practice with Parker Straus as a founding member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group, in the areas of Insurance Coverage and Defense, Complex Insurance Fraud, in addition to General Civil Litigation. 

Ms. Cottingham received her Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law, 2013, where she participated in the nationally-recognized Practice Court program and was selected to serve on the Baylor National Moot Court Team. Ms. Cottingham also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri, 2010. While at Missouri, Ms. Cottingham served on the staff of the Missouri House of Representatives as a Public Relations Intern and legislative aide to now Congressman Jason Smith.

Ms. Cottingham is admitted and licensed as an Attorney and Cousnelor at Law to the State Bar of Texas. She is also admitted to practice for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Ms. Cottingham is very active in her community. She currently provides pro bono services to the Tarrant County Volunteer Attorney Services. She has previous volunteered for the Cook Children’s Health Care System as an information desk volunteer, as a GED Tutor for the Tarrant County of Literacy Coalition, and as a Student Supervisor for The Big Event at Texas A&M University School of Law. Recently, Ms. Cottingham has been  accepted as a candiate for membership for the Junior League of Fort Worth and looks forward to serving her one-year as a Provisional member.
