After years of working with so called "professionals", my wife and I have finally found a firm that excels in their field. Their attitude, expertise and honesty are overwhelming! We began with a very difficult... situation and soon realized there was light at the end of a very long dark tunnel. We hired Mr. Coffin and his team for a very complex and complicated IRS lawsuit. It was for the years 1980 and 1981 in Hawaii. The case was not settled until 2007. The IRS waited 5 years to notify me the case was finalized. We had to fire the attorney that represented us in the suit due to incompeten...t performance and lack of response to our calls. The judgment stated I was to pay off an agreed to amount. The IRS set up the payment schedule which also involved an x-wife sharing in the payoff. She contested and claimed to be an innocent spouse. She lost that claim. The problem began when the IRS voided my installment payback schedule and levied huge amounts of penalties ($$$$$) on the amount owed. This was in direct violation of the court ordered settlement. Mr. Coffin and his exemplary staff, which included Adam Coen, took our issue on and represented us in an appeal which resulted in the original agreement being reinstated and all penalties removed. We prevailed, thanks to their skill and knowledge of how the IRS works. Their practices are professional. They are very straightforward. The provided us with updates and helped to ease our anxiety and frustration. They responded to our phone calls. They sat down with us and listened to the strange twist this case had taken all these years. We had been trying to resolve the installment issue for a year when we hired this team in April 2015. It is resolved and we are grateful for their professional and aggressive results. Mr. Coffin and his team are interested in results. They know how to get them. We are so grateful to them for their time and results which resolved our case.
