I cant recommend her enough. She is the 6th laywer I have used and she was so much better than the others. My case had stalled for 14 months. She came in and got things moving in a week and I won custody of my daughter in 8 months out of court. She is extremely sharp was on top of all the details. T...he whole Schneider firm was far above the others I have dealt with.

Alison was the amicus in an ugly and contested custody battle. I get that as a father, I am at a disadvantage to my ex-wife because unless the mother is a crackhead, you get little support as the Dad. But I couldn't believe at how little traction I got with her and the courts. My house was safe an...d focused on building her up, and my ex's was chaos and abuse. It was pretty obvious to all of the people around us that knew the situation. Understand I had proof that my ex-wife had committed FEDERAL CRIMES and encouraged my daughter to do the same.... I had proof that my daughter was being coerced to drop out of school at age 13.... I had proof from court-ordered counselors that there were serious signs of abuse happening at her mother's house..... I had proof there was one person consistently lying to the court and one that had his daughter's best interest at heart. Alison never visited the homes as she said she would, never asked probing questions to the people around my daughter, and in the end she did an open and shut case for the mom. Got completely steam rolled by the other lawyer, and actually negotiated with them for more money to help reward my ex's crazy behavior. Fast forward 3 years and everything I warned about has happened: 1). My daughter, who is the brightest and smartest student in school, dropped out of highschool. 2). My daughter suffered from massive anxiety that only got worse AFTER Alison decision on our case, resulting in literally $100k in medical bills from ER visits that her Mom encouraged. She even got her gall bladder removed at age 16 based off questionable medical advice (they kept going to doctors based off of anxiety driven stomach pains that doctors had no real medical answer for. I had proof this was occurring as well. 3). My daughter still suffers from the damage of the abuse, and now that she is older, is able to communicate on this better and admits she was forced to lie to lawyers to protect her Mom and Step-Dad. She is 18 now and I her to pick up the pieces of her early teenage years no thanks to Alison. 4). Her mother in the end received more money to use wastefully on parties and things that has set her back in life. Again, I have proof of that as well. DO NOT HIRE ALISON, especially if you're a good Father looking for fair representation. Sure felt like there wasn't enough $$ in it for the law firm to do a fair take, and/or Alison was simply too weak to fight for a young 14 year old girl in need of help. I had hoped she would've been a good role model for her during that difficult time. Extremely disappointing.

With this attorney you will need another attorney to supervise her work. I used Alison for a few years of a very nasty custody battle. 1rst-I will say she is very weak in the hearing arena. The couple of times we actually had a hearing she just got controlled and dominated by other counsel. If you... seek “aggressive” KEEP SHOPPING 2nd- have another attorney review anything you sign with her. She advised me to sign an agreement that left me open and vulnerable to be targeted for additional money. Because of Alison giving me poor advice and signing an unprotected document, I had to repay $16,000 AGAIN. Yes I had to REPAY the same money I had already paid. This didn’t come until after a couple years had passed and Alison was no longer my attorney. When I asked her to correct it and fight for what she had me sign and get my money back, she laughed and said “c’mon, you expect me to do that for free?” Besides the rudeness and greed that action displayed of her character, she did nothing. I paid the money and still at a loss from her representation. I originally made a complaint only to be contacted by Alison with more attitude and guilt so I was nice and removed the previous review. She has so much going on she couldn’t and didn’t give me proper representation and caused more harm than good. Final thought, GREED, very good at making you think she cares yet it’s only about the money (don’t buy the smooth talk) NOT AGGRESSIVE, will NOT stand up and fight in a hearing setting. Gets handled by any opposition. My ex wife had 4 different attorneys during our years of battle and each of them OWNED Alison. Literally just called the shots and she always weakly submitted at mine and my children’s expense. NO ACCOUNTABILITY, when confronted its constant denial and no admission of wrong doing or an attempt or offer at helping repair her mistake(s). Hard to prove an attorney wrong as a civilian so our only strength is to share our experiences in hopes of Saving the next family.

Alsion Porterfield was incredibly professional as well as compassionate about my case. She was firm, and stood up for what was right. I felt confident having her on my side. She got me my attorney fees back, as well as a custody agreement that was truely in my sons best interest. I will use her in th...e future if I ever need another attorney, and I will recommend her to friends and family.

Alison walked me through each step of my divorce process, concentrating on what was best for both me and my children. I was comfortable with Alison from Day One. She always took the time to speak with me when I called and personally answered my emails. She was with me at every court appearance, as we...ll as mediation.
