Do Your Research On This Attorney. A Google search will tell you how poorly they are reviewed. Do not use this attorney. They sent me the wrong "template" and when I found out what happened I was in an even bigger problem then the ticket. They then act like it was explained when it wasn't. When I ...I contracted with them the person I spoke to told me one thing and then they no longer work there so things changed. I will never use them again for a ticket. It was a complete waste of money to hire them. Read the other 1 star reviews and it will tell you the truth. Look up there reviews on other websites and you see how poorly this firm is reviewed by not only clients but other attorneys. He touts being a former judge but he resigned due to the scrutiny of a report of misconduct against him. Ultimately it was found to be false but he was per a report a controversial judge due to his sentencing practices for traffic violations.

Do not hire Jack Byno! I got a speeding ticket in Joshua; for the first time ever I hired an attorney (Jack Byno) to help me with a speeding ticket. Big mistake. For comparison, when I got the ticket I called Joshua City Hall and I would have needed to pay $150 for deferred adjudication. SInce the go...al is to keep the ticket off my speeding record, I was ok with deferred adjudication, but thought an attorney could help me in some way beyond even deferred adjudication. I looked into hiring Jack Byno and saw that they wanted $75. I thought I would try them out. They appealed the ticket on 6/12, which is fine; this changed the venue to Johnson County rather than the city of Joshua. Then in July after weeks of no contact I got a letter from the law firm stating I owe $279 for deferred adjudication. I paid it immediately, but was surprised because early on I could have done deferred adjudication myself much, much cheaper. According to the county clerk's office, on 8/4 Mr. Byno appeared in court on my behalf and my deferred adjudication period began. (I did not know that I was definitely on deferred adjudication until now, 8/12, when I called the county clerk.) Thank you for nothing Byno Law Firm. NOTHING. I paid $200 more than I had to for the exact same result I would have gotten had I taken care of the ticket myself. When I called the law firm to ask why my cost was so high and in general what happened with my case, the woman (who did not identify herself when she answered the phone) stated my case was "late" which made it much more expensive. I said IF it was late, it was not a fault on my part. I hired them *right after* the ticket was issued and they have the gall to tell me the ticket was late. That piece of information was never communicated to me via letter, phone or e-mail. They have my address, phone and e-mail; communication from Mr. Byno's staff was so poor that I had to call the courthouse in Johnson County multiple times to find out what was going on. Don't expect this firm to keep you apprised of what is going on. If you need an attorney for a traffic ticket violation, keep looking. I had a terrible experience with my first time to hire an attorney for a traffic ticket. I could have gone to Joshua City Hall and paid the deferred adjudication fee the Monday after I got my ticket but thought an attorney would HELP me.

Hired Jack for three tickets in Denton county. Letters come back to me from Jack stating that I needed to pay double what all three tickets would have cost me if I just paid Denton. Next day I fired Jack and told his staff in their office that they were incompetent. 3 weeks later I have court in Dent...on. Told the sheriff in the courtroom who I was and that I needed to represent myself since I fired Jack. Denton court appointed attorney comes out and cancels all 3 tickets. None of those tickets would have been dismissed if I did not fire Jack immediately . FIRE JACK BYNO!!!

DO NOT HIRE this law firm. They do NOTHING but take your money. I hired these people for a couple of traffic tickets. I get a letter in the mail a few weeks later with nothing done other then "pay these fees" and you'll be on probation. I didn't hire you to do exactly what I could have done myse...lf by simply WALKING into the courtroom. I hired you to help me get the tickets dismissed. NOTHING. A JOKE. You can't even talk to Mr. Byno. His office people say hes "too busy" to call you back. They transfer you to his "paralegal" assistant who "can answer the questions the same way as him." They also don't explain all your options in the consultation. I assumed (big mistake) they would try to go to a judge trial (like most competent offices do - you try to see if the cop shows up). They didn't try to do anything to get the case dismissed. If you hate your money, hire this firm.

I tried to pay my ticket with the City of FTW at one of the approved payment windows at a Carnival grocery store. Because my payment was late, they could not accept it. So, I called Jack Byno's office to see if they could help me as I was worried about having a possible warrant and needed someone who... could represent me in the matter. Months go by and I don't hear from his office, then I get a notice in the mail from his office telling me I have to pay the exact same amount that was owed when I attempted to pay the City of FTW three months ago. I already paid Jack $150 thinking that they could at least get my fine reduced, but now I'm out the whole amount of the ticket plus the $150 I paid to Jack. When I called his office to try and find out what happened, the girl who answered told me there are court fees before she even knew who I was or anything about my case, then hung up on me. I tried calling the office back and got a voicemail. I want to know what they did for me, if anything!
