Lisa Maddux Powell

Attorney Lisa Powell attended Baylor University, and Baylor University School of Law. She graduated from law school in 1988, and was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas the same year. She worked as a Briefing Attorney for Justice Bob Thomas at the Tenth Court of Appeals in Waco. Since then, she has served as both a felony and a misdemeanor prosecutor and spent over fourteen years in private practice, representing clients in cases involving criminal defense, family law, personal injury, and general civil practice. She is a dedicated attorney, devoted to providing vigorous and zealous representation to every client in every case.

Ms. Powell has been practicing Criminal Law for 29 years, and has had tried more than 100 trials in criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to capital murders. She has tried many types of cases, including murders, sexual assaults, drug cases, robberies, burglaries, assaults, thefts, and DWIs. Having been both a prosecutor and a defense lawyer gives her a unique perspective most criminal defense attorneys do not possess.
