Waste of time and money: do not consider Bailey & Galyen or Chuck K. Rowland.

My initial instinct upon arriving at Bailey & Galyen in Bedford was to leave immediately; the law firm is designed like an HMO doctor's office, with lots of waiting and no concern for why you are there. After sitting in the lobby for an hour, I got up and told them I was leaving. All of a sudden, the...y scrambled to get a paralegal for me. I never even met with Chuck Rowland and didn't see him until 30 minutes prior to the court hearing. The office transferred my case to another location and paralegal WITHOUT informing me or asking me to consult with the new team. This after paying $2,500 for what was basically a dozen hours of their time and a few phone calls. Still no Chuck Rowland anywhere to be found. The AFTERNOON BEFORE the court hearing, his office called asking for more financial background paperwork, which ended up being pointless unless they wanted to know how much more they could bilk me for. In addition, they didn't even get the address right for the family law courthouse. So I arrive on time to finally meet Chuck Rowland 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE HEARING, which is all he apparently feels he needs to meet the client and review the case. He started the meeting by asking what I was seeking, despite the fact that I had communicated all of my concerns and legal desires to his paralegals in the past two months. His office scheduled the court hearing 3 weeks in advance but made no effort or interest to consult or review prior to the hearing. I am very much under the impression that Mr. Rowland knew what a waste of time the court appearance would be but made no effort to prevent said waste of time (for me), since he obviously had other cases scheduled that day. My ex-spouse's attorney immediately objected on the grounds they were uninformed of the petition details and was unable to reach Mr. Rowland through phone or e-mail. My impression of Chuck K. Rowland remains: he was rude, unprepared for my case, and seemed totally disinterested in representing his client. He did not even know basic information about the children (who were the focus of the hearing) and did not know most details material to the case because he never took the time to review the case. I regret choosing the law firm of Bailey & Galyen, but getting stuck with Chuck K. Rowland was the bigger insult. For someone with 26 years of practice, Chuck does not seem like he learned the basics, or he really doesn't care.

Don't Use Chuck Rowland As Your Attorney

This guy is terrible, unprepared, and was a non factor when needed to ask questions. I used him as my divorce lawyer back in 2010. He was clueless and the 2nd hearing he never informed me it was going to trial. And all of a sudden my e wife and I at the time are getting questioned. The attorney t...hat was going against him made him look foolish and kicked our buts. My wife had an on going alcohol and bi polar disorder. Has 2 dwi's on her record and arrested numerous times. And when it was his time to question her he never once brought up those things. If anybody has seen the movie my cousin vinnie? He was that lawyer that was stuttering the whole time and was nervous. Thats chuck rowland. Hes arrogant and cocky. And for no reason. He does not back up anything he says. He is all talk. Do not use this lawyer. I know there is no guarantee on any case..but the moron never fought or even tried. If he had done those things i could live with that. Hes a joke.
