Professional

Mr. Schwartz handled my divorce. The experience was as smooth as one could possibly hope. He was very professional, courteous, and willing to consider my feelings and thoughts, while making sure I would not be taken advantage of. As a father who was getting primary conservator-ship of our daughter, t...hese things were important, as it is not the norm. Would highly recommend his services.

**Unethical Practice**

It was a $3k learning mistake for an unethical Attorney that did absolutely nothing but allow my child support payment to nearly triple for an adult over 21 years old with Special needs, without addressing the Judge of my concerns to have the the unowed arrearage removed while he collected $300/hr. ...He should have been honest and up front in explaining his inexperience in family law and not use my case as a learning tool on my retainer fee or simply recommended another Attorney. Potential clients, beware to ask exactly what you're needing done and if the answer is anything other than what you want achieved, then find one that will. Learning tip, FREE of charge through painful and costly experience of my own.

It is unfortunate when a client doesn't understand his own case. This client's case involved so much more than he represented. He was erroneously charged with back child support and an increase in current support for his adult disabled child. The problem was, he did not have the documentary evidence on hand to prove he did not owe any back support, and we didn't have the time to subpoena the records before the scheduled hearing. When we couldn't reach a permanent agreement on either matter, the parties agreed to continue the case for 90 days to give us time to subpoena the records. The agreement included a temporary increase in child support. This client agreed to those terms. I have never and would never accept a case in a matter in which I had no experience, including this client's. We reached the best temporary solution possible, with the client's approval. But if we had gone before the judge at that initial meeting, there is no question that, without the evidence, he would have paid thousands in arrearage. I'm sorry he wasn't happy with the arrangement he agreed to.

A fine counselor

Nathan Schwartz took time to get to know me and to understand my particular situation. He was never judgmental and after every meeting I felt I had been treated and advised as a friend, not just another client. Nathan communicated clearly, asked the right questions and worked with me to make su...re I completely understood the divorce process. He was prepared, met all procedural timelines and helpfully steered me towards making the right decisions concerning equitable distribution of finances, spousal and child support, and in due course crafted a fair agreement that was approved by the court. Nathan is a fine counselor and I unreservedly recommend his services.
