I'd like to share my story for those people out there in that difficult place of needing an attorney. First and foremost, I definitely recommend Lauren's law firm for any & all needs of family law. This is my story of why my wife & I feel this way & want to get the word out to folks that have that un...sure/hard decision of hiring an attorney in front of them. Hopefully this can help someone from having to throw a dart at a list of attorney names or get one recommended to you from friends & family that for whatever reason forget the bad stuff & never admit they got rolled by "their" attorney as if the attorney is "theirs". My wife & I just finished our adoption of our grandson. Yes, everything from starting with sole managing conservators, termination of parental rights, home study, etc etc etc. We unfortunately started this process with a different attorney. Constant struggle with straight and/or timely answers. Couldn't keep the original situation or progress story straight, it was like having to recap from the start every time & you bet she had the billing clock going even due to her sloppiness. Problem we were faced with is once you get the ball rolling with one attorney, original petition filed, it's a pain & costly pain to change representation, because like in my case first attorney was a flake and redo's had to happen. Now the positive part of our story. By shear luck I called Lauren's office & made appointment. Go in for consultation & WOW what a breath of fresh air. Genuine attention to me, professional, approachable, and easy on the eyes "just a bonus". I was very impressed with their attention to detail, explanation of the law, communication of multiple strategies to achieve desired result with outlined plan, then final recap to in sure claraity. Talk about smooth operation & put a confidence in you knowing they've been there, done that. At the same time their awareness stays high without getting complacent. Their billing is fair, invoicing clear with every billable action segregated with description & cost association. Absolutely no guess work on clients part. Along the complete process they were good stewards of our money, while at the same time we were never in the dark as to where we stood & what is next.
