We engaged Sean Pevsner with Whitburn & Pevsner to fight the Houston Independent School District in a Due Process complaint. Sean knows the law and possesses a deep, personal understanding of what’s required to overcome the challenge of living with a disability. Sean and partner, Mark Whitburn, crafted an overwhelming case on behalf of our son, combining evidence, logic, fact-based persuasion and deep understanding of legal precedent.
Thanks to Sean, a TEA hearing officer ruled that the 7th largest school district in America failed to provide our son, who is challenged with Autism, the free and appropriate public education to which he is entitled by law. Further, the hearing officer ruled HISD failed to develop an individualized education plan for our son tailored to his unique needs. We have absolute confidence in Sean Pevsner and have proudly recommended his representation to other parents seeking educational justice for their children.

I worked with Mr. Pevsner for over 3 years and he was very prompt with returning my calls and answering my questions. He kept me informed about the progress and how the process of the case was going. I felt he represented me the best that anyone could have done. At first I was skeptical with retaining him but he soon showed me that his ABILITY is much stronger than his disability.

Attorney Pevsner and his team at Whitburn & Pevsner provided excellent and quality service. I always felt that my needs were met and that the firm was invested in me and my case. They were easily accessible, got back to me quickly, aggressive and got me the results that I wanted. Attorney Pevsner, his associates, and his staff all produced the quality of an attorney that anyone would want when hiring a family law attorney.

I hired Mr. Pevsner to handle a conflict I was having with my school district. They were not meeting my needs for an appropriate education and getting me what I need to be as independent as possible as I continue on in my life. It was very helpful that he understood my needs and that I am an intelligent person with the same rights and freedoms as all other people. It made it impossible for them to say I couldn't go on and be a productive memner of society, because Mr. Pevsner has been very successful.
