I wouldn’t trust him to defend my dog for having too many hugs or stealing doggy treats!

Mr. Cooper walked in and said “you’re looking at prison time.” He didn’t have his facts straight. Had the wrong information & confused me with another person. He is rude! Wouldn’t even listen to my story. He is definitely not going to fight for me and get me a fair trial. He didn't like that I asked ...valid questions that could change my outcome of my case. He uses yelling as part of his tactics and I was instantly unimpressed with his caliber of unprofessional and arrogant. I didn’t feel he valued me as a person, my concerns, or my case. When I asked questions that are detrimental to the outcome of my case, his response was:”I wasn’t planning on spending this much time on this today.” WOW! Mr. Cooper left a very sour taste in my mouth! He should be on my side as a defense lawyer, but I didn’t feel he would defend my case. I felt condemned and put down. I left his office hopeless. Hiring me a new lawyer asap or I will definitely get a a terrible outcome and sentence at trial. He doesn’t care or show empathy for his clients. He doesn’t want to or desire to listen to your facts. He is very upset when you question him. My court date is less than a week and when I asked him :”when will you know a status for my case?” His response was :”next week.” I was appalled! I didn’t feel heard, valued as a person, and I didn’t get the sense of urgency he would defend my case. I would be terrified if my dog was on trial for getting too many hugs or having too many doggy treats!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
