Born and raised in Atlanta, TX. Graduated from Baylor Law School in 1969. Top Score,
October, 1969, Texas Bar Examination. Worked and lived in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, Texas, since 1969, except for short tour of active duty military in 1970. Practiced civil, criminal and transactional law for a number of years but confined practice to civil litigation about 20 years ago. Tried numerous jury trials in state and federal courts, primarily in the east Texas area. Have obtained multiple verdicts /settlements in the multi-million dollar range.
Community service includes president of Jacksonville Jaycees, Cherokee County Assn. for Retarded Children, and Cherokee County Bar Association, director of Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
