I have hired Erick Platten twice in the last two years for the same two mistakes. I never ever thought I would be able to get them dismissed. After talking with him he was hired right away. I told him the truth both times and he never judged and always told me to not worry he would take care of it. B...oth times. He did just that. Both cases were dismissed. I'm so very greatful to him and his office asssitant. He didn't hesitate giving me his personal cell number to always reassure me when I was scared and anxious. He never hesitated to answer a call or a text anytime even with his family and he always responded. he came through for me when I didn't think it was possible. Thank you Erick for everything. He will work hard for you and make sure in every possible way that it will go away. i will always call on him for any legal defense I may have, however, after this second time I will never get in trouble again. Horrible Attorney. We felt that we couldn’t contact him. He would be angry if we ask him questions. Got the feeling that he was on prosecution side. He only saw my son in jail one time regarding his case. He charged a great deal of money but maybe only worked 8 hours on my sons case. My sons wife ca...lled him on a Friday after hours and he yelled at her saying he was busy cooking his family steak dinner. Very unprofessional. Don’t advertise that we can contact you 24 hours a day if that is not true. Waste of money.

I hired Mr. Platten to defend me against a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana less than two ounces in Smith County Texas. Eric argued before the judge and was able to have the evidence suppressed due to an illegal traffic stop. The results were that the charges against me were dropped a...nd the case was dismissed by the Judge. I could not of asked for better results nor could I have done it by myself....
